I feel your pain because i also feel that some of these bans are just too damn long

 I remember when @Sales2099 got banned for 2 weeks and i was just shocked at how long it was. He said some type of sh!t about PS that i can't remember but i didn't think he deserved 2 weeks for it.

@riderz also got the full month and i just couldn't understand how somebody could get that long of a ban

I think a month is just TOO DAMN LONG. 2 weeks should be the max for a ban besides being permed but i'm not a mod so i guess i don't know how everything officially works

He's been banned before. VGC uses a progressive system for bans, so he got one month due to his history. I would imagine.

As NintendoPie says, VGChartz has a progressive moderation system where you receive longer and longer bans the more you are moderated for the same thing in quick succession. You have a long mod history of trolling offences, hence why the ban was so long.

Also, I'm going to have to lock this. Discussions about moderations need to be held either with the moderator who made it (Barozi) or our head mod (Axumblade); or in the monthly ban report thread. Which we're missing for July, kinda unfortunate. I guess the June thread is the best place to discuss it for now:
