I'd rather play the original myself. I paid $10 for the Ducktales Famicom game complete with box and manual. It was great playing it on my AV Famicom. I just need to play my recently acquired copy of Ducktales 2 now!

I can understand collecting... but in this case the HD version is the same game... just better for modern TVs.

Nah, I'm sure they changed a lot of things so it just won't feel anymore like the original. Was the same with Turtles in Time some years ago. It looked nice and all but it just didn't feel right. I would take the SNES Version of Turtles in Time over the re-release any day.

I'll give the new Ducktales a try but my expectations are somewhat low.
