Forums - Gaming - Amazon's Poll is Invalid and Bogus

In my opinion Amazon's poll for the game of the generation is not valid and it is completely bogus because Skyrim is a multiplat game, more people have played it so more people can vote for it, in comparison to exclusive games.

What do you guys think?

Not being sarcastic. But wasn't this obvious?

I think who cares

So a game selling a lot is a bad thing now?

I agree. Let's ask ND to make The Last of Us multiplat so that the game can win this Poll.

Not only that but TLOU is a very new game, so the fan base is considerably smaller (though it being a recent game could also be counted as an advantage, since its fresh in many gamer's minds).

I don't think either should have won anyway. Both fantastic games, but game of the generation? Hardly.

If an exclusive game can't beat out a multiplat for Game of the Generation then it must not be the Game of the Generation.

I think no.

To suggest otherwise would be to suggest making the end result even more invalid and even more bogus, if you consider them invalid and bogus to begin with.

No but he's saying it's just a popularity contest. If game x was played by only 100,000 people but every one of them consider it by far the greatest game of all time, it still wouldn't win.

I don't see an issue with that...
