it would be the stupidest thing ever if rockstar released the game on the WiiU

A company making money is stupid now?

which ones made money on the wii U?

gtav on wii u = easy money for rockstar. if that's the stupidest thing ever, I don't know what would be considered clever.

You will be waiting a long time if you want this on next gen platforms. Just enjoy it on the formats it comes out on.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

All (wii u, ps4, xbox one, pc version) are predictions. Rumors of other companies are sometimes true. But in case of rockstar they are just assumptions backed by past data.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I wasn't talking about userbase size, I doubt you would have got a much better reaction from Nintendo fans on the Wii's 100 mill userbase. It's not up to third parties to build WiiU's userbase, remotely.

None of those games did ok and your reasoning is so poor "EA kicked Nintendo fans in the guy" dude the majority don't even know what EA is. It's all excuses as always.

It absolutely is up to them to grow their franchises on all mediums possible if they want to increase budgets to make a profit.

Do you think the playsation would still be around if it wasn't for 3rd party support? The fact is 3rd parties hellped the userbase grown on plastation as it did on xbox this gen.

To call Nintendo fans stupid for not knowing what EA is is ignorant at best as the core woudl be adults that have disposable income and own multiple consoles.

You're spot on, point out where I said differently?

I didn't say Nintendo fans were stupid for not knowing who EA were, I said outside of the forums (and we're not as large a group as you think compared to the hundreds of millions who have bought gaming consoles) nobody is likely to know anything about EA or their antics.

Evidently if they don't see opportunity on a platform they're not going to bother, given take two seem to know what they're doing lately with their franchises I think they know better.

What I find amuzing is that you talk about 100s of missions of people yet the Wii U hasn't even sold 100s of millions of units. The people who own the WIi U atm are most likely 90% NIntendo core, these are the people we are talking about. Most of them know EA's antics hence why they got fuck all sales.

How will they know what the opportunities are if they do not try? Why did developers back the original playstation over N64 (apart form moneyhatting)? many franchises jumped ship that were stellar hits on the SNES and the fanbase would have been there if the games come to the N64.

Because they're not impressed with what they've seen (regarding sales?) and that relations between third parties and Nintendo are poor (Nintendo don't try remotely here, they and fans just expect third parties to support the system) you realise Sony and MS have huge evangelism teams that exist soley to woo third parties right? They make an effort. Lastly, you're just spouting out a load of 'what if's' 'how will we know unless they try'. Yeah, not good enough, third parties shouldn't take such risks.

GTAV is gonna sell 25 mill plus on PS360 (and PC, X1/PS4 should they come) even if they could make a small profit on Wiiu, it's not worth the time and effort when they're selling so much elsewhere.

At the end of the day though this is all just discussion. It's evident third parties for the most part have already made up their mind, and that is that WiiU is not a viable platform for them, end of.

@ Zero - WiiU had an exclusive  third party zombie game and it sold poorly. Now imagine how it would have done if it was on PS360 and PS4/X1

thats like asking how well would the conduit do on other platforms, the answer is not well because its an average game with average 7.0 reviews

77, but that's besides the point. It's far more appealing to PS360 owners than conduit.

It was too survival-oriented. Such games don't sell. Your new avatar is evidence of such.

Makes a harsh statement, doesn't give arguments, ChinaTown sold more on DS than PSP, doesn't get banned. I get banned for calling The Last of Us an interactive movie.

Have you played the game? I mean the entire single player.

Is there anyone who is genuinely interested in GTA 5 that doesn't already own a PS360? I imagine every Wii U purchase would just cancel out a PS360 purchase, so I can see why they wouldn't bother.

If it comes to PC, it will come to next gen. Both systems are so similar it would be a waste not to.

Wii U? Iwata laughs.

This makes the most sense. Aren't the PS4 and XB1 identical in terms of porting from the PC? They should obviously make a PC version and then go from there.

Next gen any game that comes to PC should be XB1 and PS4 (with the exception of exclusives) and visa versa.

I don't know anything about porting to Wii U though, so it might be a bit of a risk for Take Two to go that route.

Porting the game to Wii U would be hard. It is really different and new architecture compared to what Rockstar is used to. They have had 7 plus years learning how to do ps360 and are pushing those systems to the limit. Since the Wii u is only marginally better in power, Rockstar would have to implement some really smart coding to get a Wii u port on par with current gen.

Xbone and PS4 also are new systems to which Rockstar has no experience but their similarities with pc and the ability to brute force code with all the next gen power makes those ports relatively easy.

Personally, I think we are stuck with just ps360. 99.9% of people who would buy GTAV have at least a ps3 or 360 stuck in a closet somewhere. Maybe PCbone4 versions in a year.
