Forums - Nintendo - How much do you think Nintendo systems would sell if they were as of high quality as early 360's/PS3's/PS's?

Their console are solid ( lower techs are more reliable then newer tech) but for the DS that shit broke so easily the part separating the screen from the rest of the console would break the first time your drop your DS

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I dont consider the Playstation, PS2, 360s to be high quality products. I had many break on me, however i never had my Gamecube/Wii/N64 break.

but the console would still be working. ive seen nds top screens just hanging by the cables connecting them to the bottom half of the console - screen still working like a charm.

Simple solution to that, dont drop your DS.

Most tech products of the past 30 years would break if you straight up dropped them, apart from phones that is - but that is because they are built sturdier because they WILL be dropped.

Current Game Machines: 3DS, Wii U, PC.

Currently Playing: X-Com(PC), Smash Bros(WiiU), Banner Saga(PC), Guild Wars 2(PC), Project X Zone(3DS), Luigis Mansion 2(3DS), DayZ(PC)

yeah I know, but could have re-enforce that part so it doesn't break so easily but instead the ds light made it worse, I broke one by opening to hard when I flipped it

lol high quality? that's funny spurg

out of all my consoles I have had never has a Nintendo system ever broken which can't be said about MS and Sony consoles as I have my second 360 as well as a second PS1. I still have my SNES since like 20+ years ago and it still works perfectly

not sure what your on about here. i had 5 N64s, 3 DSs, 2 Wiis
as for Sony stuff i had 4 PS2s... nothing else of theres has broken yet.

Well, as you can see from the thread. You are the only one. So we do not know what you are on about.

Is that because you were mad at nintendo for doing so great that you threw your systems?

yep thats exactly why, i just throw my systems around. no but being serious i would say there fairly even, seeing as ive owned a lot more Nintendo stuff its expected to have more break. the DSs were because of the BS hinge breaking on the DS Lites

I feel like you only replied to me because like 5 people also replied to you. I have had a lot of systems as well. To be honest. I have had a SNES die on me, but I was on vacation as a kid and it was left with my step brothers. I have no idea what happened. But it was a white screen of death. Besides that....I had a NES and all my games stolen. My Gameboy screen popped off, the battery port corroded over multiple times in 20 years.....and......

2 PS had to be turned on their sides or have something placed on them. Xbox crashed or something, and then all the stories of the Red ring of death and yloding. My kids DS did sort of break. All he can play is gameboy games on it...or GBA games. I forget which. But that is because he is a wild man. No hinges have ever broken though. But I can see it happening if someone were to drop something from high up.

Genesis was pretty strong as well.

lol wait 5 peeople replied to me. didnt read them, i saw your reply and responded. then i left the thread, guess i should go back and read them

I'm confused, your wording is weird.

Are you saying Nintendo systems have bad quality?

Or are you saying that Nintendo systems have better quality than those listed?

Personally I believe Nintendo systems have the best quality in terms of failure rate out of any console. Then to the original question. Are you asking how many units would Nintendo have sold more if people had to REBUY systems cause of failures? Is that what your saying.

I mean I know guys who have boughten 4-5 PS2's. I'm sure there are many of you that can say the same. That figures into the 140 million sold in some way. Meanwhile, I rarely know anyone who ever has to rebuy a Nintendo system for quality reasons.
