1st party  - Nintendo

3rd party - Valve (not by quantity but on how many hours I invested in Valve games)

It must go  by the quantity of IP's (by franchise or single game if not a franchise) to a company, not time invested.

In that case, I'm not sure. Probably Capcom for Monster Hunter, all old RE (previous to 5), Phoenix Wright and old school Megaman.

Nintendo and PC gamer

RE makes one IP.

1st Party: Nintendo followed by Sega
3rd Party: Not a clue...maybe Konami or Capcom

I dont think Sega is considered 1st party anymore

Mario 2D or 3D are still one IP. Mario Party and Mario Sports count as different IP's. We have a winner!

List your favorite or most known third party IP's (not games) and you'll find out who your real top third party is. I found out mine is Square Enix....money grubbing bastards. LOL

It's Capcom then. Swarms of Capcom IPs always find their way into my library of any platform and no matter what I think of them as a company I always buy their games.

nintendo and capcom

Nintendo easily but Ubisoft (missing from the list) and EA would be very high with Capcom not to far behind.

I'm not even sure how MS could be anyone's #1. They don't have that many IPs comparibly to other 1st and 3rd parties.

They actually have quite a lot. Rare alone has given them Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Conker, Kameo, Viva Piñata, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Jet Force Gemini, Killer Instinct, Blast Corps and Kinect Sports. Though I guess it depends on whether it counts if you have only played a game from the IP on Nintendo consoles.

Nintendo and I was gonna pick capcom. But that's not on the list.
