Forums - General Discussion - Mafia Round 58: Avatar The Last Airbender

Ok I got it. Then what do you reckon about nacho?

I still do not trust him. I'm reminded of his last game as scum. Where he'd sporadically drop in with some pretty good analysis, which gave me a false sense of security. I also don't like the way he tried to delfect the attention on Vette.

UNVOTE

I am still suspicious of Vette due to his questioning/doubting if there is a cop.

But something piqued my interest. I'll try to post it later.

Moreno Analysis

Day 1:

- Arrived a little late, but not worth all the hassle that various players such as Spurge were giving him. There were many players not posting at this point, and I felt the general attitude to Moreno's absence was a little strange.

- Moreno knocks it off as "Spurge is just being Spurge" - honestly it feels like Moreno and Spurge could be connected in some way and they're overcompensating their "apartness", but that's just me.

- Moreno votes a time limit - middle of the pack, not much to say about this

Linkz comments on those voting time limits in general, asking why they're voting time limit without having actual votes in place. I agree with the idea that it does feel like certain people were trying to rush Day 1 to a close - I'm one of only a few supporters of a Day 1 no-lynch in general, but it seemed like nobody was willing to commit to a vote at this point (Moreno included)

- Noctis lists Moreno as one of his potential Mafia suspects

- Comes back again eventually (not particularly active at this point for sure, but not the only one either) and makes a bit of a non-statement that was a lighter version of what everybody has already said:

"He is just talking randomly as I've always seen. It is hasty to make a judgement on Day 1.As for the current situtation (Stefl), I'm not really sure why he thinks Linkz is town or why he has so random assumptions. He may be Mafia trying to confuse everyone, but I'm not entirely convinced."

Day 2:

- Moreno talks about a mafia Godfather possibly killing Stefl, first mention of such a role in the round. I don't think this is any cause for suspicion, however.

- "Doctor had good timing it seems" - probably just unfortunate wording, but I've never heard somebody seem so disappointed in a positive nighttime event...although he could be the Doctor - who knows?

- [Some random issue where Yoshiya went from sure town to lots of people voting him to town again - no idea why everyone was as suspicious as they were for this little event - at least one of those players is probably Mafia because it was a bit of a rapid storm of suspicion on a now (presumably) confirmed town]

- Vette pushing for a Moreno lynch

- Nacho votes Moreno from seemingly nowhere
Moreno and Yoshiya comment on this

- Vette quotes Nacho's vote and basically says "I agree, [VOTE]" - not sure about this

Vote: Vetteman

I really don't like this play - and honestly, this isn't the conclusion that I thought I would come to when reading back through the thread. Seeing it all again with an analytical perspective makes it seem like the obvious choice now however. For the record, Moreno reacted to sudden and almost unfounded suspicion in the way that I imagine most town would (with confusion, slight annoyance and an attempt to use logic to clear his name). I'm now confident of Yoshiya's alignment as town having concentrated on his posts while doing this analysis, so I'm not sure if it's worth doing a separate one for him right now.

The general lack of exciting analysis (although it's not completely devoid of it) really stems from how the majority of Moreno-related discussion in the early game has been about his inactivity - which is a non-point now.

This part stood out to me. I'm confused as to how Spurge and Moreno could be linked when Spurge's role has been confirmed as Tracker.

Well I was writing this as I went along, and I didn't appreciate that Spurge was confirmed anything until I got to it (must have missed it first time around)

Well for one, I voted for Moreno for far more reasons than just agreeing with nachos vote,  even Moreno mentions that in a couple of his posts that at least I had some reasoning behind my suspicion where as Nachos vote was just spur of the moment.

But as for your vote on me, I didnt see any reason for the vote.  You never mention any of my posts for the reasoning of your vote or mention my role or name claim.  either you don't care about them and are just hoping to push a mislynch or you saw them and knew they wouldn't line up with any bs story you could come up with.

Obviously I didn't just do a rereading of the thread only looking at Moreno's posts - I looked through them all, and the general feeling I was getting from you kept getting worse as I went along. You're right that you had more reason to vote Moreno than Nacho did, and I'm suspcious of him too to an extent, but he generally showed himself to be a more townlike player in my eyes. I'll do another analysis of you either tonight or tomorrow, and I'll see if I can explain myself further or possibly cement my concerns.

Well if its just repeating of what has already been argued multiple times, don't bother
