Forums - Microsoft Discussion - HD-DVD add on for XBOX 360 price drops!

Amazon had a $60 deal this morning - with the 5 free movies and something else. They were sold out fast. If it were like $60-75, I'd buy an extra one for the PC. I love the Web content features on the HD DVDs - I use them every time I watch a movie. Can't do that with my Blus ...

Only one problem - MS controls the prices of the add-ons, not Toshiba.

I understand, SSJ12, but what I am saying is - the add-on is a Toshiba HD DVD, but branded as a Xbox 360 add-on, therefore making MS control the price drops.

@ d21lewis

LOL. It's only one! Doesn't the dying format at least deserve that?

Nope. I'm so underwhelmed by that modest price drop that I feel it deserves -1 exclamation points.........and I WANTED HD-DVD TO WIN!

HD-DVD is the maturer HD format, compared to the Blu Ray. Soon the former Blu Ray players will be obsolete when the new version of BD will come... so bad! Many people will be angry for that BIG surprise!

Dont forget, both chinese HD format and HD-DVD are compatible!

older blu-ray players wont be obsolete. they will still play newer titles, but they just wont be able to access the newer features, that's all.
