^Wow what a comment from Seece. Xbox is power, games, online, and Kinect but Wiiu is only first party games and gamepad lol. Ok bud, whom do you expect to convince with hater logic like that?

There are one game Kinect required that was delayed to 2014...
MS needs to show Kinect software at Gamescom to support the accessory.
I still think that in the long run Nintendo needed / needs to do better to court 3rd parties. Their 1st party games on top of that would make for a great system.
Not having 3rd parties is what caused them to flounder toward the end of the Wii cycle (lack of games). That floundering (bad taste in their mouths) is what is most likely causing many people to wait to buy, or worse, never buy the Wii U.
And don't start with the "Nintendo has survived without 3rd parties since..." crap. The industry is changing faster than ever. Waaaay too many 3rd party games that people want that Nintendo either doesn't have, gets late, or gets a way to watered down port of.
This all coming from a big Nintendo fan. I really do like their games.

Well, WiiU doesn't have specs as a selling point, it's on par with PS360, and it doesn't have a decent online system to boast about. I don't get what you see is wrong with my comment, it's not hater logic.
The selling point of WiiU is firsty party software and the gamepad, what else is there???

But you guys just aren't getting it. The entire media functionality, from voice commands to hand gestures require kinect. This functionality is a HUGE part of the Xbox One sell. There is no way they are going to remove / make optional kinect before launch.
A 180 on DRM policy is one thing, but to completely dicredit the entire APU the system is build around (multi tasking, TV, games, voice command, etc.) would be suicide IMO.

I agree with you but it is not required... you can use the standard control do use everything.
| ethomaz said: That's below terrible... I never saw anything close with any other console in the history.... 160k quarter in it first year? The work doomed never fits so well. ASDA stooped to take order from Nintedo, other retails too because 10k is ridiculous for Europe and rest of the world. I think Wii U can't be saved anymore... that GamePad will be considered the worst decision in the game history. |
Waaaaay too soon to say that.
December will be Nintendo's big month. XBONE/PS4 sell outs and a new Mario game combined with parents desperate to get hold of a console for their kids who didn't pre order. Chuck in the boost from a proper price drop. That'll see them through to Mario Kart 8 etc and it'll have found it's userbase. Won't ever be Wii levels but it'll be profitable.
| MoHasanie said: Yikes! That's terrible. Some people are predicting it will win in 2014 but that is looking unlikely right now. |
I agree its doing horrible right now but thats with only one major release in the first 8 months. By the end of 2014 there will be 5-10 games from series that typically sell over 5 million units so its possible to win 2014.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
Utterly pathetic. Hey, hopefully they will learn from this and realize what a games company is and what it isn't.
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
