FF15 will be the best FF for one reason. It has a mission of redefining what JRPG means.

potential is definitely there, surpassing FFX will be an impressive feat though.

Graphics dont matter to me Id rather they looked like ps1 graphics so we could start having them annually again!

Its In this order for me....Story....Music....Gameplay when it comes to JRPGS.

Give me exploration please, and by what we saw their is customization when it comes to weapons and loot.

When play-style is completely turned around from turnbased to action you can't even compare these games anymore.
It might become an awesome game but it'll never give you the feeling the old FF's gave. Taking your time to adjust your characters, slowly progressing with an overworld map, thinking about hints npc's gave and where they'd lead you to. I seriously doubt that this one will fulfill those needs.

It looks good but it also looks like just another action game. The only plus side might be that the story will be engaging and the graphics and music are topnotch. But that is not all what makes a ff good.

One of my favorite features of the FF's of old (mid-era) were the FMV's. The contrast of what you look like while playing against those rewarding stunning FMV's that you 'earned' through progress.

FFXV will be succesfull, some might call it the best, as always happens with new iterations but in the long run I doubt it will hold that title.

Don't get me wrong, I hope for it to be 'the best', but imho it is getting to much action oriented. Everything has to be fast paced flashy stuff nowadays which is something I do not share with the majority apparently.

i don't doubt it that it will be a very good ff. the question is how many copies will it sell. on that scale i think everything under 5m in the first 2 months will be a dissapointment. but are there really so many people wanting to buy that game?

1. Graphics - Polygon count has nothing to do with quality.
1. (a) Art Design - Already one of the most boring and uninspired looking Final Fantasy games.

2. Story - Wants to bring back Retro level of story quality? He will try to match old games, he can't surpass them. Kingdom Hearts and TWEWY are nothing compared to the deep and interesting plots in FF IV-IX, and he only helped make character models for those games.

3. Gameplay - Personally I think it looks stupid. FF never had ridiculous jumping, and matrix style moves. FFVII: Advent Children was bad enough, are you honestly praising a game for being over the top ridiculous? Retro FF, good FF, wasn't over the top ridiculous.

4. Music - Retro is better

5. Sequels - AWWW this just guarentees that it's going to be bad. So far X and XIII are the only Final Fantasy's with sequels and they are regarded as among the worst in the main series.

Seriously, FF will never be as good as it used to be. Ever since Hironobu Sakaguchi left the company, Final Fantasy has lost all hope. Heck Lost Odyssey was much better then any FF game released in the last 10 years.
