Because there arent several AAA games being developed for the ps4... smh.  Everyone crying the way you are are so ignorant it is ridiculous, this was Sony's opportunity to showcase more of the exclusive indie content coming to the system, there are more than enough AAA titles coming in the immediate future.  Microsoft didn't exactly blow the lid off the AAA container, both companies are sporting roughly the same amount of titles, its just that Sony has taken a serious leg up on the indie side of games and they deserve the attention they are getting.  Not to mention how amazing some of those titles looked, did you even watch teh conference?

You have to understand peoples expectations, last year Gamescon was like a mini E3 Great titles being announced like Tearaway, Puppeteer, Killzone Vita... Sony have been hyping this years gamescon since before E3, of course people were expecting to see more then just indie titles.

Edit: not only that but they had great showing for exclusives that had already been announced like The Last of Us and Beyond. Here they only showed tibits of their excluives.

Right they should have shown atleast one new aaa exclusive. And these indie mobile games crap better not be part of the 20 1st year exclusives or i'm gonna be pissed the f off.

I thought the conference was pretty shitty. Last gen Sony all but ignored indies until near the end, and now everything was indie this, indie that. Over an hour worth of time devoted to indies and I can tell you I'm not going to purchase any of them on the PS4 when I can later find them dirt cheap for the PC.

I was hoping after that bullshit about supporting the Vita they'd bring more retail games to the Vita than just Borderlands 2, yet another fucking port. Why not the two Tales of remakes? Mind=0, or any number of interesting Japanese titles that still haven't made their way over here. The price drop was nice for those who don't own one, but it doesn't do anything to show that the system has more games when there are no retail games on the shelves, and for people who already own the Vita what of us, even Sony themselves are ignoring us.

If anything, the conference pissed me off.  Other than indies and a port of a game on the Vita, they didn't announce anything we didn't already know was released.  Waste of time.

As a Vita owner and someone planning to get the PS4 at launch, I'm very dissapointed. The PS4 line up of AAA exclusives is more less the same as it was back at its february reveal.


I agree Vita was lackluster,  no new AAA games sucked. But why should Sony show all their cards regarding PS4 when they have such momentum going on? PS4 will literaly sell itself for the first couple of months thanks to Microsofts fuck ups and its launchprice. They already have 1 million preorders.

You must be kidding yourself if you think ND and SSM dont work on Holiday 2014 games.

That is the same arguement Nintendo fans presented when Wii U was looking hopeless. I don't get excited over titles I assume to be in developement, I but forf games which I have seen and get a taste of. I'm sure those who express their dissapointment, do so because they aren't excited aboout of the PS4 exclusives right now. No ones suggesting they announce all their fall 2014 titles, but it is assumed that if they have a healthy spread of exclusives for 2014 that they would show some of them off. The Infamous trailer was verging on teaser and The Order didn't even make an appearance. Amongst other things they more or less confirmed that the PS eye will be a irrelevant peripheral. 

Above all I think I've just concluded that their launch exclusives don't look very appealing.

Heh, figured it was going to be this kind of press conference.  

Not much to talk about.  Appreciated seeing the new Infamous: SS trailer.  Hands down the best looking game (in terms of an actual game) from either Sony or Microsofts first party.  Which isn't saying much all things considered. 

At least the new KZ: SF multiplayer trailer got me interested in seeing if they've improved over KZ3. 

Other than that, this was an advertisement for their business partners and to guage what they need to show at TGS or reveal in the coming months.  Based on internet outcry, I think Sony knows now they need to bring out some of their bigger guns. 

 

Wait for VGAs people.  That will be a show.  Remember,  Sony doesn't feel their European stronghold has been threatend by ANY of Msoft's advances, so no need for the announcments.  (From their perspective) I would cut them some slack for the time being.
