Sony is going to DOMINATE Gamescom.

Based on E3....polocies dominate. Number of games clearly now means you lost ;)

Well, as mentioned, Sony usually dominates Gamescom, anyway. Games have never been an issue for them, either. Besides, I thought Xbox fans were the ones mumbling about quality > quantity? I see that's taken a 180, as well.

U sir just won the internet, infact this comment made vg shutdown :D

Sounds exciting. I hope there are more platformers.

Cant wait for Knack...its not a full Platformer, but I like the idea of them trying something new with a mascot character that can become different things and gather power from the area hes in.

Sony will have twenty first party exclusives first year. This begs to question how many second and third party exclusives they'll have as well. Next year after that another ten first party exclusives. I am not worried about Sonys exclusives....actually no one in their right mind should. The question is which of the thirty first party exclusives in the first two years will be the mascot for Sony? Microsoft has games that will not represent the company, that they just paid for simply because. When you look back and MS is jumping from company to company from gen to gen, Sony will still bring back characters worth having because they belong to them. Remember that.

Think you put a little much credibility to Sonys mascot star power, but ok.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I go by quality over quantiy in terms of sales, like how Halo 4 sold in 2012. But in terms of quality more is always better. Just going by the status quo set by PS fans. Were clearly in this for the corporations, not for the games, at least thats how it looks :P

Don't worry I'm in it for the games too. Already confirmed PS4 will have more games in first year than Xbox one =)

Just a hunch, but I have a feeling that Sony is padding that number with several indie titles, and may even go the ol' MS route of counting timed exclusives as "exclusives" in press statements.Either way, from what I learned, whenever Sony gives a number from game releases throughout the past few years, they hardly ever hit their mark.

But I digress, glad to see that PS fans are caring about the games again and not polocies :)

Sonys mascot star power grows slowly but surely because we're in a time where a lot of characters fall through the cracks and few are remembered. Never before has Sony been so serious about first party and creating individual names than when all the third party got divided between them and MS. We have Microsoft to thank for shifting their focus and thank you to them.

Oooo I didn't even read that the first time I saw the comment!

As much as I'd love an Uncharted 4, I think ND should stick with their tradition of 3 main series games then move on. There's already so many developers out there who reuse the same IPs, so I think it's cool having some that don't.

Well, they do have 2 teams now. I'd rather they have the second team work only on Uncharted games and make it Playstation's signature franchise while the main team continues to make new IPs. I really think it's time for Sony to get an official mascot, and Nathan Drake fits the bill quite well since he is a loved character and it's easy to come up with new settings to make new games for him too.

If Sony's Gamescom conference is anything like last years but instead PS4 centered, then I'll buy PS4 on day one.
