There were a few anime adaptations of the bible back in the 80s and 90s... I don't remember seeing any of them in my country, but I know they were broadcasted in many places. It wasn't this one, was it ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4AbEmVbLfo (in Spanish here...)

Or perhaps this one ?

Both of them had German dubs apparently, so I thought it was worth a shot...

Nope, none of those are the one I'm looking for. The boys were teenagers....oh shit, I just remembered it. The boys names were not Kain and Abel but Arthur and Abel, my bad. The anime I was looking for was named after the girl, georgie.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Ha, no problem. I'm glad you remembered it then. I'm not familiar with that one (despite being dubbed in Spanish as well), so I doubt I would've been helpful there...

Here were the epic cartoons of the early 90s:
Duck Tales
Tale Spin
Darkwing Duck
Rescue Rangers
Animaniacs
Tiny Toons
Doug
Rockos modern life
Captain Planet
Xmen
Batman: The animated series
Later on in the ninties there were some really epic cartoons as well, but these ones above were my third grade jams. I used to run home as fast as possible to catch everything. Batman was always on at 5, right after animaniacs, so I always ended up seeing that the most.
The next golden age wouldn't show up until the early 2000s with the nickelodeon and cartoon network blitz, introducing anime, hey arnold, spongebob, pokemon, dragon ball z, powerpuff girls, samurai jack, dexters lab, ed edd n eddy...

You obviously didn't get the hilarious underpinnings of the show.
Extreme racial profiling and stereotyping, captain planet being incredibly homosexual, Dr. Blight's weird sexual relationship with her computer, badguy names like Looten Plunder, and DUKE NUKEM, plot holes, massive gaping goatse sized plotholes, puns...oh god, the puns and one-lines like "you're all washed up", not to mention extremely creative and entertaining methods of polluting for profit. And WHEELER! The idiot every joe American, who the team has to explain in every episode why pollution is harmful, and he never has his shirt tucked in. Mah-ti is from Africa and is shown swinging on vines. Dear God; How could you not like this show? The show was quite literally a parody of itself and 90s USA. It was like all the worst things in the nineties crammed into one half hour show with the only redeeming quality that it taught kids to cut the plastic rings from soda six packs before throwing them away.
Add a voice cast of whoopi goldberg (90s sensation), tim curry (rocky horror), jeff goldblum (jurassic park), Sting!, Meg Ryan, Martin Sheen... and I'm half a breath away from saying you're a disgrace to the 90s.
