But he was right. The drama was in this thread.

So many people got happy and then got dissappointed.

I don't understand why people would be happy if a certain console is downgraded (thankfully that's not the case). It's still a bad thing and gamers would be negatively affected. I'm not suggesting I've seen any posts here that point to that, but definitely in the Gaf thread that inspired this one.

It's sad to see that gamers are now fanboys in their majority.

I was actually surprised to see what the GAF thread became, I thought this would happen here but not there.

"So, the portuguese Eurogamer already published the article, and says that the developers can access up to 5.5GB of RAM. The rest is reserved to the OS."

Here it is in the portuguese version of eurogamer...
http://www.eurogamer.pt/articles/digitalfoundry-ps3-system-software-memory_1

It seems the OS of PS4 uses almost half of the 8 gb ram of the console but it can be flexible...

So my guesses was right... I said 5GB like Xbone but 2.5GB for OS is expected... maybe 2GB after future optimizations.

Ohhhhhh a article in my native language... it's so good to read.

So... is this enough to consider it a "drama", should we start the panic mode?...

The english version

From what a read...

There are two modes memory allocations for games...

Normal: 4.5GB for games
Big: 5.5GB for games

This big mode was a way that the Games can ask for OS for more memory until 1GB... and seems like only the firstp-party studios will use this resource for now.
