I thought that even the most powerful gaming rigs aren't able to run this game max settings and maintain a steady framerate.

You thought wrong.  A $500 PC could max this game out.  It's no surprise the PS4 can...

I can confirm this (as long as there is no big fight going on :D)

Lol but that's when performance matters most. If you lag when there is a big firefight then it just gets annoying to play after a while.

Yeah, that is why I am playing with maximum for stuff that implies more field of sight and medium for all the rest... the game still looks pretty good

I'm getting tired of this "Optimization" BS.  It can only get you so far.  Let me give you an example:

-The $30 HD 6450 is about equivalent to the 7 year old (Then High-end) GPU in the PS3.

-Bioshock Infinite set to its lowest preset runs at 30 FPS in 720p on an HD 6450, and it looks as good if not a little better than the PS3 version (Probably due to more RAM allowing bigger textures).

Now I own a 6450 and a PS3 so I ran this test for fun.  I also did a similar thing with BF3 and got the same results.  Optimization only gets you so far...

I will give you a hint... the HD 6450 is more powerful than the PS3 GPU lol.

That what we call "console optimizations".

And this video says to me that you are telling something wrong to me: http://youtu.be/ArJNHvTFUoA

HD 6450 didn't run BioShock Infinite in 720p with constant framerate... neither have the same quality than the PS3 version lol.

The 6450 is in the same league as the 7800 GT (What is essentially in the PS3) as seen here:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

Also is your video trying to prove me right lol?   It clearly shows he had to turn down the resolution so he could play the game with some settings on normal.  People really need to read their links before posting stuff that hurts their point.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

i think you just proved ethomaz right with  your post and not vice versa. ethomaz posted the video to show exactly what you said, that the 6450 is not really good for bioshock and that the ps3 can run it better because of console optimization. why should he post a video where someone can play bioshock with a 6450 and highest settings? that would pretty much mean that there is no console optimization but that is exactly what he tries to explain you.

You are missing the point.  The PC version set to the lowest preset in 720p is what the PS3 version looks like.

Me and my friends set BF3 to 720p 30 FPS mode and litterally could not turn down the graphics enough to make it look worse than the PS3 version I had running the same screen on an identical monitor.
