I'm gonna pick something that might sound a little unconventional, but I'm gonna say if your looking for JRPGs the PSP is your system.  So I recently got back into PSP collecting because the games are so cheap on Amazon and wow is there a lot of games on my wish list.  It seems like everyday i come across a few more amazing JRPGs that I want to add to my collection, and its got to the point where I don't think there's anyway I can play all these games.  Also these aren't crappy games, these all look like quality games.  At this rate I don't think Ill be getting a Vita for a while, just because Ill be playing my PSP for a long time.  Although if the Vita gets the amount of great JRPGs that the PSP has I might be forced to get it, it is already starting to have a few ones that I want to play, number 1 on my list being ys memories of celceta.  So what system do you guys think is the best for JRPGs?

DS or 3DS

Vita (psp and vita jrpg library)
and 3ds (ds and 3ds jrpg library)
and ofcourse, the PS1

DS, PSP, 3DS, and Vita

DS and PSP looks a little dated but still has a huge library.

3DS like the DS will likely have a bigger library than the Vita but the Vita will have raw power and to many that means better quality.

To me I would say just get both. There is no reason to miss out on games like pokemon X/Y and vice versa for games such as Persona 4.

If you only have enough money for one then it depends on what games you like better as they got way different libraries. Best is only an opinion so it is something you alone will have to decide on what has "the better library."

Why not PS2 then? PS2 is BC after all.

SNES was my favorite, 3DS is slowly building up, and it's BC gives it a HUGE push, and Wii U looks promising as well, with BC, the upcoming Xenoblade 2 and SMT X FE, and the Virtual Console, and if Nintendo does buy Atlus, we'll see a shit ton more great RPGs

Idk I'd say the PS3 is kinda lacking on JRPGs, to be fair though I really only count the ones that get localized, if it stays in Japan I probably won't ever hear about it and won't play it.  Also lets be honest, there are a lot of sub par JRPGs on the PS3.  If you go through and add up all the good JRPGs you can definately put together a good list, but I don't think its nearly as long as what it is for other systems.  Also with the price drop the Vita got in Japan I'm hoping that makes more Japanese developers have more faith in the system and we'll see the JRPGs start to roll on the system, like were seeing with the 3DS.  Now just gotta hope those games get localized xD.

In order of importance :

1. PS2
2. PS3
3. PSVita (if you read Japanese)
4. 3DS

one does not simply make a list like that and not include the SNES
