The first movie was good but overrated IMO. Don't get me wrong, I know this isn't the place to post that but hopefully the second one will turn out more interesting.

OT: I'm surprised YoJohn didn't post this thread. Also, I expect this movie to be up there in my favorite for the year. Possibly in the Top 3. (After The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, of course.)

Your theory would hold up great if there weren't two more books left (one of which doesn't even have the "games" in it). It's worth pointing out that the third book is literally 5,000 times better than the first book.

If you haven't read the books I could easily see why you wouldn't think the Hunger Games movie is all that great...but when you do you will see the light.

Hopefully this one doesn't turn out to be a teeny boppy childrens flick like the first one. The first one had a good trailer and you expected so much and then nothing happens, it was stupid and clowny. Catching fire seems to be shapeing up to be alright at best. There needs to be more thrill, blood, action, politics that make sense, originality. This series is just lucky to have a massive teenage following.

This series needs intensity first and foremost. Your pitted up against other people that want, no...need to kill you. It's one of those series where there is so much potential but then they make it for teenage girls.
