Damn, am I the only person who likes motion gaming and the wiimote in the world? I was quite disappointed when I found out the Wii U would have a gamepad in contrast. Anyway, I didn't like the N64 controller, it was too bulky. Other than that, I like most of Nintendo's controller.

I do XD

It all depends what you're a fanboy of.

Not at all. I tend to prefer Nintnedo consoles and last gen I found the 360 controller design the most comfortable I had ever use. This gen the Wii-U controllers are the most comfortable for me. The Pro controller doesn't differ in shape from the 360 controller much and the analog placement is comfortable for me.  I just wish the analog sticks were concave like the 360s.

you can mod them :P

The Wii-U tablet and the Pro controller are some of the most comfortable controllers I've used. I didn't think it was possible to get more comfortable for me than the 360 controller. The PS3 controller is awful for my hands and in my opinion feels cheaper out of the rest. In the end though like many things video game wise it comes down to personal opinion. Nobody has the same sized/shaped hands and each controller will handle differently for each person.

I agree, thought i still think think the most comfortable one i used was the GameCube controller, sigh, if only they made this:

I think they make some of the best controllers. even the Virtual Boy as bad as it was, had a pretty good controller.

the only complaint I have is with the NES controller. I mean, those edges really give me some cramps after awhile.

Surely their controllers are the most original, I've liked all of them so far and the Wiiu one is really comfortable and pretty light, I know because I tried the the console at a store (I played one level of the demo of Rayman Legends)

I like Nintendo's controllers. With the exception of the Wii, they've improved with every generation.

(Not that the Wiimote was bad, but I didn't find it particularly ergonomic. It should have been shaped more like a handle or, even better, the gentle slope of a black powder pistol. Also, being someone with REALLY LONG arms, I found the default cable between the Wiimote and nunchuck to be oppressively short. Motion control was nice, but the Wii controller itself really felt like a step backwards compared to the Gamecube controller.)

Still, Nintendo consistently makes the best controllers in the business.

I think that Nintendo controllers have been pretty good. Not the best, because for me, that is the Duelshock controller, but I have liked pretty much all the Nintendo controllers since the Gamecube era. The Wiis' controller is slightly weird, I usually used the Controller Pro. I have only tried the Wii U at stores so far, but I think the controller is pretty comfy and lightweight from what I have tested so far.

I got a Wand+ and a Wireless Kama from Nyko recently, although they aren't actually Nintendo controllers, they're damn comfy and convenient

Bulky, underdeveloped as a tablet controller, awkward button positioning and terrible battery life. It's not a hopeless controller per say, but as far as Nintendo controllers go, I think it's their worst so far. Then again, Nintendo controllers are usually terrific.

Bulky, could have better battery life = yes. Everything else you said = merely opinion.

How is the button positioning awkward? The buttons are face buttons are laid out exactly as the SNES was, the L/R buttons are right there on top, comfortably reached by index fingers, with the L2/R2 equally comfortable to reach with middle fingers. Analog and d-pad placement are great. Start and select could be placed elsehwhere, but where? The only way I could see them being improved, is if they were placed next to each other horizontal instead of vertical. And it's not "underdeveloped as a tablet" because it's NOT a tablet. It was never meant or intended to BE a tablet. It's just a giant touch screen, that also acts as a second screen, similar to what DS has had for years. Single touch input is fine, because the idea of the GamePad is NOT to be a tablet, to have touch be the only imput the device has. It's a regular game controller, WITH a touch screen. That also doubles as a really nice, perfectly sized off-tv play screen.

The controller is bulky, yes, but I think it's a fair trade off for the size and functionality of the screen, and everything else the controller brings to the table.
