Yeah, they'd surely be selling at a loss of at least $100 if it has even 2x the power. I guess Microsoft could afford a loss like that but the reasoning behind such a move is questionable, wouldn't it just be better to sell it fully unlocked at $600 and break even, sure it would be too pricey for some, but it would still be more powerful than the PS4 and cheaper than a gaming PC with similar power, and the price would go down over time making it more affordable later in the gen (like the PS3 last gen).

Yeah, you'd think that some of these major tech sites would have noticed the same telltale signs of stacking that those on misterx's site claim to have found. It's definitely pretty fishy. Unless Microsoft paid them to keep it secret as part of their supposed secrecy plan, but it'd be hard to keep a lid on it even then.

I actually think that the Xbox One could handle the heat, they put that big fan directly below an intake vent for a reason, I think they could cool it if they increased the fan speed enough, might make it as noisy as the 360 though, at least while gaming, but I think I saw something on misterx's site about it having a seperate low power mode for media consumption so that it stays quiet for that. Power on the other hand I'm not sure of, is the X1's power supply rated high enough to power everything once the chipset is fully enabled?

Funny thing, when I first played the TitanFall beta, after I finished a round or two blazing excitement, I heard this sound.  I thought at first it was coming from outside, I had no idea what it was.  Then realized it was my Xbox One's Fan.  It must have gotten hot and turned itself up high, for about 20-30 seconds.  Then went back to being totally quiet.

It did it one other time on Project Spark Beta.  Then I moved it a bit so it could get better airflow.  It has not done it since.  Nor has it ever done it other than those two times.  I put my hand and could feel some heat coming from and off the unit.  I think it was not as hot as my 360.

It was late so I kept the sound volume really, low.  So it wasn’t very loud, perhaps at little louder than my Xbox 360 S when it was at full speed.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Question to those who know...
Does anyone know how, or why Microsoft got Kingdom Hearts 3 onto the Xbox One? You think they paid for the game? Maybe SE saw the relative success of FF XIII and decided to put both FF XV and KH3 onto the One.

My slightly educated guess would also add to your information above, the really good development tools from the Xbox 360.  The dev tools are really well liked.  Either way it's going to make many Xbox One gamers very happy.

FFS, what is with the front page?

US is undertracked remember, it's doing closer to 65k a week than 43k like VGC shows. Sales likely went from 100k to 200k

"It also means EA now hold the two leading No1 titles by sales for the year. Titanfall more than doubles the sales of what had been 2014’s current leader FIFA 14, which until now had delivered the highest sales for an All Formats No1 back in Week 1 of this year."

Previous leader was Fifa 14 in Week 1 with 62k.

Also if Titanfall did 125k+ in the UK, it did x5 that in the US (that is the normal multiplyer from UK to US). Meaning over 625k+ in US first week. Meaning 750k FW UK and US.

Of course if Titanfall managed 150k then it becomes 750k in US.

This site got to fix this nonsense with the home page.
Awesome news for X1 though!

What do you guys see the attach rate being for Titanfall? Because it seems like everyone on my friends list with an Xbox One has it.

About 50% after a month maybe?

I found a nice workaround for the slow mainpage! I think Shikamaru stated this too...
Just bookmark this one page (XBO Nation), and it loads just fine. It's the main page that's just the issue.

Yeah I said it in my comeback post yesterday... I have been using a shortcut straight to the MS forum for about a year now... Especially on the phone

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare: Garden Variety DLC offers new map, mode and abilities

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare: Garden Variety is the first DLC for PopCap's multiplayer madcap third-person shooter.

Available tomorrow as a mandatory install, the free update comes just a few weeks after the game was launched on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. In a demonstration of the DLC, producer Brian Lindley said he's happy with the game's reception, citing positive reviews and social media buzz.

Polygon's review scored the core game at 8.5 and described it as "an experimental shooter that feels freed from tired conventions or compromise." Garden Warfare is a significant departure from the PvZ franchise's mobile tower-defense roots.

Central to the update is Chomp Town, a small 8v8 urban map that's reminiscent of hardcore shooter downtown arenas, in which fast-paced, close-quarter combat is the norm, and death comes often and from every direction.

Chomp Town is just as colorful as the rest of Garden Warfare's wacky world of goofy zombies and warmongering plantlife. Multi-level restaurants and shops sit close by graffiti-sprayed back alleys, with tons of sharp corners and run-routes between open killing arenas.

The map has been designed around a new mode called Gnome Bomb. It's an Obliteration-like game in which each side seeks to secure a bomb (strapped to the back of a hapless gnome) and detonate the device at bases. This encourages an ever-shifting locus of intense combat surrounded by mini-battles, as each side, zombies and plants, seek to win the upper hand.

Some of the standard modes, available in the game's other eight maps, can be played in Chomp Town, including Team Vanquish. For the moment, there are no microtransactions in Garden Warfare, although a spokesperson for publisher EA said a plan is being considered.

A phalanx of unlockable new powers available to all classes is also being unveiled. Each class gets three new powers, which are generally more intense versions of their standard abilities. On the whole, weapons, defenses and movement bonuses become more effective but at the cost of instability, charge-up times and longevity.

Playing the game, it's fairly obvious that many players are going to make this trade-off, once they unlock the upgrades. A rocket-launcher that fires three missiles is better than a rocket launcher that fires one, even if you have to wait a little longer for a reload.

Some of the upgrades are much less useful, but they fit in with the general charm of this world. Sunflower's healing beam can now be rendered in rainbow hues, which is just as it should be. There is also a collection of new costumes and accessories for each of the characters.

"This DLC offers a lot of new gameplay," said Lindley. "These layers affect teamplay and strategy while giving players tons of new ways to customize their characters." Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that Polygon scored Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 7.5. The score was 8.5.
