Looks like my Gamestop isnt doing a midnight release for one of the biggest games of the year -_- gonna cancel my pre-order and just download it at 2AM

I love it when big blockbuster games release especially the MS ones because of all the advertizing and events. The special edition consoles are also greatly appreciated. A shame we couldn't get our hands on that Titan Fall console. But I can't wait to see the Halo 5 X1 special edition.

You think they want to make it more open add more weather effects so it can compete directly with Forza Horizon 2? This could explain the long delay. The game seemed almost finished last november and now it's TBA... I hope it's to compete agains't FH2 this would mean the rumors were true and we're in for a treat this fall.

I think they already have weather effects in Driveclub, might not be dynamic like those that are rumored to be in Horizon 2 though, might just be based on settings you choose before each race, or on your track choice. Not sure if they'll make it more open, but it seems like at the very least they plan on delaying it and using the extra time to polish the game so that it can compete head to head with Horizon 2. Sony must know that GT6 prologue won't be ready until 2015, so they want to position Driveclub against Horizon 2.

I really doubt thats why they delaying the game. Thats quite an assumption there.

Chances are the game simply isnt good enough for release. And its expensive anda fatal to studios to release games that have no future or outright fail in sales. I think this is sony just realising that this game is nothing special at the moment and the sales will reflect it.

They will probably relaunch at E3 with a new campaign etc.

You can't take folks on Titanfall review thread seriously.
Their outcry is more of a desperation than anything else. It's a self immolation and I'm loving it.

I loved Forza Horizon just because of its open world. If DriveClub is being delayed to offer the same thing, I'd be all in.

 

Doubt that's happening though. We'll probably find out in just a week.

Agreed. The game got a good score that fell in line with expectations, people should just chill. I'm getting kind of interested in it too, I might pick it up on 360 later on. First I have to wait and see how the port was handled.
