I just got 2 messages inviting me to register for the march update beta

Am I crazy in thinking it could break 1m on XBO in 2 weeks??

20% of the current userbase week 1, that's 700k. Plus 150k bundles sold, and 200k+ week 2.

Halo 3 sold to 40% of userbase first week.


Gears did 500k+ on a 2.9m userbase in the US, that's nearly 20%. Halo 3 did 2.4m on a 6.4m userbase in the US, just under 40%.

XBO LTD in US for Titanfall will be 2.1m~ 20% would be 420k, 30% would be 630k. I feel like Titanfall has less hype than Halo, but more than Gears. Add in the bundles tho and I think 30% attach rate first week in US is achieveable.

Update: Respawn clarified on Twitter that Titanfall would only require "20gb on Xbox One." The developer also confirmed the 20GB install size to IGN via email.

Biggest new IP launch in a while?

In a long time, factor in 360 (which will do 1m in a month easily). and you have a 3m+ seller in a matter of weeks.

What was before it? I seriously have no idea!

How do you think 360 Titanfall will do against the One version? Lifetime, anyway. FW is already over.

I'm not sure tbh, even great games on PS360 have been underperforming this past year or so, apart from The Last of Us (probably the previous big new Ip launch to answer your first question).

I reckon if XB1 can do 1m in 2 weeks, it'll easily clearly 4m lifetime, I think 360 will lag slightly behind that.

Then when Titanfall 2 goes multiplat, it'll become a 12m selling franchise.

I wonder why people assume TF will go multiplat for TF 2.... I'll bet that the better performs the more likely MS will make a move towards securing the IP...
heck we don't even know the current terms of the present contract...
