Loving this focus on Games Microsoft has right now, all we need is some Japanese titles & a new viva pinata game and i'll be happy :)

I think this is the first of many announcements that MS are going to be making this year and next. They are in the same position that the PS3 was in. It took a lot of exclusive games to sway people over to the PS3 and it finally paid off.
Sony has clearly gained the higher ground in this early stage and MS knows that the only way to win back lost ground is with exclusive games. They didn't have to do that with the Xbox 360 because it sold itself. But the X1 is a harder sell because the PS4 is cheaper and arguably more powerful.
MS has new IPs and fan favorites in the works and buying Gears of War tells gamers one very important thing. The X1 is going to be the exclusive home of many must play games.
I expect this year will also see the announcement of exclusive JRPGs. Maybe Lost Odyssey 2 or maybe something new. MS knows they can't convince gamers to buy the X1 with TV features or tech specs. The only thing that will sell to gamers is exclusive killer games. Halo 5 and Fable Legends are coming, Quantum Break is looking to be big, Japanese games are promised, Titan Fall is right around the corner, and Gears of War will now never come to any platform other than Xbox.
Right now the hardcore pixel counters favor the PS4, but when the best games are only on X1 the technical details won't matter. MS knows this and like Sony with the PS4 is spending the money to ensure a steady stream of exclusive hit the X1. Games gamers can't ignore.
You can't even compare other systems to X1 in terms of game flow this early.
So... anyone buying Tomb Raider for the One within the week, or so?

Before e3 would be my guess. If im remembering correctly, rumor had it that the japanese launch wasnt going to be until around Q3/Q4 2014. If it truly is in Q4 possibly not until september at TGS but i would assume that they would show something at e3 or maybe even announce something at comicon or gamescon (whatever the next event is)

im passing as i already beat it. Too expensive for a year old game

EA owns Respawn so its owned by EA. That gives about a 0.01% chance of MSFT every owning TitanFall. The best they could do is keep paying to keep it exclusively and i doubt that will continue as TF will most likely become more expensive with popularity growing.
