What the deuces... isn't that a show off?

Very nice though.

Give me Pokemon... or if I can't choose something from Nintendo, then give me Sunset

Please. Amazing work Jay.

For me personally, so much rides on E3 and Gamescom for both Sony and Microsoft.

Their first party offerings have been so lackluster compared to last generation - and we're now far enough in that that should have turned around (NB: I have not had substantial time with either Bloodborne or Sunset Overdrive/Forza Horizon 2 yet). MCC was amazing from a single player standpoint - but rookie errors like losing save games in Halo 2 from a major first party tentpole? Come on.

My two favourite games of the generation, without close competition, have been Shadow of Mordor and Dragon Age - both multiplatform.

Generally it is becoming harder for a single-player focused gamer that's time poor to find experiences worth their effort and cash. I am truly hoping that Microsoft turns that around with Halo, Gears of War, Tomb Raider and Fable (which we're assured will be thoroughly enjoyable for single players, but its hard not to have doubts).

Sony isn't doing much better, with failed ventures like the Order and Driveclub. With delays to Uncharted its easy to be disheartened.

Third parties, as I mentioned, have picked up some of the slack - but then there have been plenty of disappointments like Watch Dogs and Destiny.

If it weren't so hard to justify having three consoles with relatively little time to play, I'd pick up a WiiU. Ultimately I will have too for Zelda anyway.

Those are my two favorites so far this gen as well.

I've had SoM rented out from Gamefly for about 3 months. I'm determined to beat it today lol

Yeah, I finished it about a week and a half ago. Pretty darn good, nearly as good as DA:I, my only complaints are that the side content is a bit repetitive, and that the free running controls don't have some of the finesse of the more recent Assassin's Creed games.

But it says something that our favourite games are multiplats.

I feel the most for pure PS4 owners. Prior to Bloodborne the dearth of decent exclusives over there was laughable. At least the situation on Xbox One hasn't been that bad.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rise of the Tomb Raider for sure.
