Microsoft sells an optional digital TV tuner for the Xbox One in Europe and recently added support for over-the-air TV tuners in the US and Canada.

However, the current 500GB hard drive size for the Xbox One could be an issue for any DVR feature as Xbox One owners will likely have games and other media stored on the drive already. If Microsoft were to add this feature in an upcoming software update, owners will likely have to purchase an external hard drive to store their TV recordings.

Yes. Yes. YES.

Last week I bought the $40AUD free-to-air receiver. Neither the Xbox One or the PS4 currently have the game critical mass to truly own the centre of the living room. Last generation despite the Xbox 360 having more, good games, the PS3 wound up with pride of place in our main room because of Play Tv and the ability to record shows (to be fair, most of the gaming still happened in the second room on the 360).

Do this MS, and do it well, and claim my living room!
