Hi everyone *big mod-like post incoming*
Like a few others, I read or at least skim every single post in this thread. I don't do this because I am a mod, I do it because I think this thread is fantastic. This thread in particular has a number of mods (not just me!) who go on about this thread's merits whenever we talk about the Empire.
But the last couple of weeks, I think things have started to fall off the rails.
I agree with Jay's assertion that there is no need to call people out by name as either aggressors or victims in-thread, so I am not going to do that. But ultimately it is of paramount importance that anyone and everyone can post without fear of being bullied either directly or by exclusion.
This is a general thread about Microsoft news, and I agree no one topic should dominate discussion. But if you feel someone is repeating something ad nauseam, report them. Do not have a go at them in-thread. New members and a diversity of opinions are the life-blood of a thread like this, and VGC forums in general. Obviously I cannot order people to reply to posters they don't like (and I wouldn't if I could), but anything that smells of a broad effort to lock specific posters out of participating is quickly going to become a problem!
This post is not signifying any specific action now, or in the future. Often shining a light on an issue is all it takes to clear it up! So lets keep our attitudes positive, whether we're posting good or bad news from now on!

Honestly, if we start to block out people who think differently to us, this thread is going to become an echo chamber faster than you can say "mate can you hand me that tissue?" Lets welcome people who think differently, even if they are critical of MS's current or past approaches.
As long as they clearly are making an effort to enjoy MS's gaming products, I have no issue with them calling out the flaws!
