So just played a match of MCC and man was it smooth. Seems like it's really fixed on my side, can't afford to lose myself in it again, backlog is to big :P

-So Halo:MCC bundle. Not bad, it'll probably boost sales for awhile but not by much since it's an older game and they didn't include a 2nd game. Hopefully they'll replace it with a Witcher 3 bundle in mid May, something that has quite a bit of selling potential, especially if they combine it with some price drops in countries other than the US and UK (Witcher is pretty popular in Europe).

-QB pretty much confirmed delayed. Not surprising. Due to the similarities between QB and The Order, they absolutely should take some extra time to address the criticisms that The Order faced (short length, generic shooting mechanics, heavily reused animations, poor story pacing, etc.). At least we know there are some unannounced 2015 exclusives that will replace it.

I don't see any similarities between them at all other than both being TPS and I don't think it's because of the order it is more like there are too much games in the holiday seasons.

Yeah, I don't see any similarities with The Order besides the camera angle.

QB has bunch of puzzle solving through platforming. QB I believe, is a TP Adventure and not a shooter like The Order.

They're both cover-based third person shooters. They both have a heavy cinematic focus (The Order in the form of pre-rendered cinematics, Quantum Break in the form of an integrated tv show). Apparently I'm not the only one who noticed it, I've heard a number of others mention that they were concerned about Quantum Break because they saw similarities to The Order.

I don't think the delay is specifically because of The Order's reviews, but I personally think they should take the extra time to make absolutely sure that their game doesn't have the same issues that The Order got criticized for.

tlou shared those quailities too. Didnt make order any betterof a game So, the order cant make Qb worse:p

QB's Live show won't be in the same disc as the game. The live show component is beeing handled by the moribund Xbox TV teamin LA.

Remedy is working QB in Finland.

Actually the TV show does ship on disc if I remember correctly. After each chapter of the game you make a big story decision, and then an episode of the show will play based on the story decision you made.

Look at it this way, if critics complained about the length and amount of cutscenes in The Order, don't you think those same critics might complain about tv show episodes playing between every gameplay chapter? The only upside is that you can apparently skip the tv show episodes in Quantum Break if you choose to, while the cutscenes in The Order apparently couldn't be skipped (and some were quite long). It's definitely concerning imo. I personally don't have any issue with watching tv show episodes between gameplay chapters, but I fear that the critics won't be quite as ok with the idea as I am, even if they can skip the episodes, because as critics it's their job to critique the whole game, and that includes the show since it's designed to be an integrated experience.

I hate when you cant skip or pause a cut scene. I understand if its the firs t playthrough but games that wont let you do it even after the first one suck in that regardDragon age inquisition where you could press X and it automatically skipped the rest of the line that the character was speaking. I just read the subtitles and pressed x once I was finished so i didnt have to wait for the characters to say anything, much quicker XD

Edit: I don't recall any big AAA that didn't have cutscenes. And QB having live show ones instead of in game ones is indiferent.

Especially if they really contribute to the experience with explanation and consequence of your in-game actions.

QB is the first epsode of a to be franchise. If it is short, MS better adjust the price. The recent backlash of The Order, is due to it's lack of interactivity as a TPS instead of its cinematic approach.

you're both right, logically theyres nothing wrong about what qb is doing. Yet critics aren't logical
