I am sure this has probably already been discussed in here... But what do you guys think is going to happen to phantom dust? Microsoft fired the developer and they closed down... Will they go with a new developer or is it going to be cancelled?

Theyre already confirmed to be still in developement, so new developer.  They showed pictures the other day of it to reassure people its ok

Well, hopefully they land a good developer.  The game always sounded interesting to me, but it had all sorts of red flags around it like unknown developer and cgi reveal trailer that didn't really explain what the game was...  Might be a good game to hand off to platinum after they finish scalebound?

I just wanna see one thing that genuinely surprises and wows me. That doesn't just go for MS, I feel like that's genuinely been lacking at E3 recently. Not that there's a lack of cool stuff, but I've just been missing that one "holy shit" moment.

Give me something way out of left field

I don't remember any E3's despite watching them for years but haven't all 3 been lacking in the holy shit moments for years?  Last time I remember for Sony was probably god of war 3 or uncharted 2. Maybe the last of us.  Would be a pleasant surprise to see sony and Microsoft show something mind blowing this year

Microsoft had a holy shit moment in 2013 when they announced Titanfall.

Rise of the tomb raider being exclusive to xbox was also a holy shit moment

Yeah, there haven't been too many "wow" moments from any of the 3 in the last few years. Phil Spencer was just saying on twitter yesterday that he believes this E3 will be special for fans of all 3 console makers, I hope he is right.

I'd take that with a grain of salt.  Phil Spencer talks a lot and it just seems like PR to me.  Having said that I hope he's right and all 3 have something mega.

Gta 4 360 announcement and FF13. Were they cconsidered mega?

FF13 was. I think GTA 4 having timed exclusive dlc for Xbox or something like that was considered pretty big. But the game being multiplat wasn't really a surprise since San Andreas before it had released on Xbox as well.

All GTA's released on Xbox but they only launched 6 months later than PS2 because sony bought the time exclusive rights for it...

GTA IV announcement on E3 was amazing...

Yeah you're right.  I remember now.  That dlc timed exclusive deal was huge.  I suppose the cod dlc deal was biggish too. Although cod wasn't at its peak. Any idea what Microsoft pay to get that dlc first every year?

a cheque with multiple zeroes xD.

Jokes apart I think they don't sign the deal every year rather go for multi-year deal since cod comes out every year so no point in buying it every year so they must have signed up a multi-year deal.

I wonder if they did one 10 year deal or did something like 3 years and just renewed it once or twice.

The price will be going up for the deal due to sales shifting more in ps favour for the series. I wonder if they'll continue renewing it.

I really do love that GTA IV announcement. Man I miss Peter Moore, he knew how to create hype, that's for sure.

If he was back he would say 'Some talk about games games game games some release them and bam show 10 games including JP exclusives with releasedate and all'.....Never Xbox will be great anymore :(.
