And damn guys... I'm kind of surprised you all have so much faith left in Sonic. I do hope if the Sonic team makes another game it delivers unlike those Wii U games. Sheesh Nintendo got burned on that deal.

I'm not really sure why people have faith, I need Sonic team to show me they are taking the franchise seriously again. Generations was probably the best 3D Sonic game, the mix of 2D and 3D was great and 2D (classic Sonic levels) had better physics than Sonic 4 did. Nintendo got extremely burnt on that deal, they got two bad Sonic games lol I feel sorry for them.

Banjo > Sonic in terms of current hype, and I was a huge Sega fanboy. I just can't get hyped much knowing the track record of Sonic Team.

Anyone pick up Geometry Wars? I know I've asked before. If so,  what's your favorite mode and highest rank?

You have to remember that Sonic Team had nothing to do with Sonic Boom being bad, it was made by another developer. Sonic Lost World was a step backwards compared to Sonic Generations, but this is going to be the first next-gen Sonic, I get the feeling that they're going to make a big deal out of it. As I said before, I'll need to see gameplay before I know rather or not I'm getting it. not a fan of 3D platforms so if it's all 3D with no 2D sections I'll probably skip it. As for Banjo, never played a Banjo game and I don't like 3D platformers that much, which is why my hype for Banjo 3 is basically zero.

Lost World, Sonic 06, Unleashed, these are just horrible games IMO. Sonic Team hasn't been a great 3D platformer dev. I would like it if they made a 2D platformer, or at least a hybrid. Hopefully they deliver on whatever game they make, the Sonic IP isn't doing so hot atm.

Sonic 4 was made by dimps, after sonc advance (which I recommend) they have been meh with overusing sonic rush gameplay.

Btw, sonic 4 ep 3 was canceled not long ago, at least the confirmation is recent.

On a side note sega studios Australia closed doors after doing the castle of illusion remake :(

Sonic 06 had potential imo, but it was buried behind gamebreaking glitches, I was never able to finish it because of a gamebreaking bug. Never played Lost World or Unleashed, heard mixed things about them, some people I know liked them, others didn't. I agree that Sonic Team isn't as good at making 3D platformers as they are at making 2D platformers, even Sonic Adventure, which some Sonic fans praise as the best in the series, was meh imo, I enjoyed the Chao Garden more than the rest of the game (btw Sega, it's about time you bring the Chao Garden back). On the other hand Sonic Team are the kings of 2D platformers imo, never played a 2D Sonic that wasn't at least good, and most of them were amazing. Still haven't played Sonic 4 though. I wish they 'd remake some of the old 2D Sonic's with enhanced graphics and remastered music, I'd be in heaven if they did that.

I agree, Sonic 1-3k were all amazing platformers and the gameplay holds up even today. Can't say the same about Sonic Adventure, a game I loved to death when the Dreamcast first came out. I played it on 360 when the when Sega did the Dreamcast collection, it ruined my fond memories for the game xD. The Chao garden is good fun, I remember quite a few people wanted a stand alone arcade title for that. Sonic 4 was alright, I believe most of it was done by Dimps, the physics for Sonic was a little messed up from what I remember. There was some fan project that was remaking Sonic 1 and it looked great, not sure what happened to it though because I didn't keep up with it. Seems like a good time to do a remake since the Xbox One/PS4 don't have any Sonic games.

Sonic and knuckles was amazing. I actually used to be a pretty big fan of sonic. Watched a shit ton of sonic x, and also watched sonic underground (I think that was the name lol). I even enjoyed sonic 06 xD

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

The only sonic I really disliked was sonic heroes, I hated it.

Everything got worse from adventure 2, even the physics.. The art style was terrible imo

But I liked, 06, unleashed, generations.. 1,2,3(and knuckles), CD, advance 1/2/3, rush 1, adventure 1 and 2. Even sonic R was kinda fun.

Forza is a nice surprise. Not what I was hoping for, but I can't complain about more games. Having said that, I don't think X1 needs anymore games for the holidays.

Yeah, if they announce anything else the lineup might be too crowded. Gears Collection is ok, especially if they release it over the Summer. They need to spread out the fall lineup and release some of them over the summer if possible. As for games which may or may not be ready for release by the holiday season, such as Rare's project, Scalebound, and Phantom Dust, they might should delay them until Q1-Q2 2016 even if they're ready by Holiday 2015, give them some extra polish. Rare + Scalebound + Phantom Dust would make a nice Q1-Q2 2016, maybe one other game as well (LXP, Twisted Pixel, or Platform Next maybe), followed by Gears 4, Crackdown, Forza Horizon 3, Lionhead's new IP, and hopefully a 3rd party exclusive in Q3-Q4 2016.

Yeah, I don't want any game to do badly. But if they release too many games, then they won't be able to promote all of them that well. Halo 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider will probably get most of the advertising, whilst the other games will probably get much less. The holidays is already such a competitive time of the year.
