MS owns Rare but those IPs are registered under Rare. For example new Battletoads trademark was registered under MS not Rare.

Couldn't care less about mass effect, I highly doubt is true tho but if that is Microsoft response to SF I will be disappointed. Japanese game must have a response in the form of Japanese game, logic imo.

I don't care for Mass Effect in the slightest but it would certainly be huge if they pulled it off. There would also be a shit ton of backlash from non Xbox gamers, ten times worse than it was for Tomb Raider I bet.

What Japanese game can they get to counter Street Fighter? I can't really think of anything that would be believable.
