You'll love it, but it's a brutal mode. One too much ping and you're dead.

Yeah, it was the same for me, I played Dragon Age: Origins and didn't like it that much, so I skipped Dragon Age 2 and didn't plan to play Dragon Age: Inquisition either until I saw how good the reviews were and saw how good it was during my favorite Youtuber's Let's Play of it. Personally I didn't like Mass Effect either when I tried the demo for ME2, so I've been kind of down on Bioware Edmonton ever since they made KOTOR (I liked SWTOR but that was made by Bioware Austin, not Bioware Edmonton). I think it's safe to say that the old Bioware Edmonton is back though. Now they just need to make KOTOR 3 or a new Star Wars RPG next while they're still a great developer xD

I haven't even attempted to fight a Dragon yet, I took a few steps into the Dragon section of the Hinterlands and he shot one fireball at my group that took us all down to like 1/4 health, and I just said nope and left. I doubt I'll attempt to kill a dragon before I reach level 20+. Level 12 now after 40+ hours. 

I am at about level 12-14 now. I guess not having a strong history with the franchise I just didn't understand what a massive undertaking killing a Dragon was. The first time I got snapped down virtually immediately at level ~6. I recently got the Dragon below half health before dying. Had great fun though, excellent boss battle. I briefly saw another dragon on the Storm Coast before it disappeared somewhere (presumably it reappears at some point). The only other Dragon I have seen belonged to someone in the mainline story. Given I read somewhere there are 10 dragons in this game in all, it makes me realize just how enormous it is.

I hear you on the ME2 demo it was a letdown. If fact, of the three ME games 2 is my least favourite (in conflict with popular opinion). Still, big fan of the series! I have played most of Kotor but havent played Kotor 2 (own it on Steam though ).

Mass Effect 2 was my most favorite of the 3. I was going to play it again with some of the DLC till I found out I was getting an X1.

KOTOR(or any start wars related) is pretty much the only WRPG I would hype if announced, star wars universe is so amazing and vast.

Harry Potter would be great as well thinking about it :P

Yeah.. Star Wars, Harry Potter and LotR are up there when it comes to Western ips to me. I'm mainstream when it comes to this theme.
