Dino Crisis Reboot Release Date Set For 2015 As Capcom Shows The Game At TGS 2014! Is Regina Going To Be The Protagonist For The Reboot?

BY Gunther Barbosa | Sep 24, 2014 02:18 AM EDT

Reboot has been confirmed!

According to the Official Xbox Magazine UK Capcom will announce a Dino Crisis reboot later this year. This is surprising, considering that Capcom is currently more interested in developing new IPs rather than bringing back older ones, as confirmed by "Resident Evil: Revelations" producer Masachika Kawata some time ago

"Capcom has obviously never shied away from bringing back our older IPs to new generations, but I do think it's more important for us to focus on creating new IP as we move forward."

Because the news was reported by the Official Xbox One Magazine, fans have speculated that the "Dino Crisis" reboot is going to an Xbox One exclusive similar to the "Dead Rising 3" game by Capcom which is an Xbox One exclusive game.

Cyberland has reported that the Dino Crisis Reboot has been allegedly shown by Capcom behind closed doors at TGS 2014 and that the Dino Crisis Reboot release date has been tentatively set for 2015.

The "Dino Crisis" series hasn't received a new game in quite a long time. The first game has been released on the first PlayStation back in 1999. The sequel "Dino Crisis 2" was praised for distancing itself from "Resident Evil" and for making it a more action oriented game but its sequel "Dino Crisis 3" was hated by fans for going with a "dinosaurs in space" theme instead of using real dinosaurs like "Dino Crisis 1 and 2"

Fans are hoping that this rumor is true as they say the Dino Crisis franchise has been dormant for so long and they are craving for a new Dino Crisis game.

User "monkeytheluffy" posted on gamefaqs, "Dino Crisis is the best dinosaur game franchise of all time and it is great that they are planning to make one again after a long time! I just hope they stay true to their roots though. DON'T MAKE DINOSAURS IN SPACE AGAIN CRAPCOM!"

What do you think? Do you want a Dino Crisis reboot? Or should the franchise stay as it is? Sound off in the comments below!

From good ol' GAF:

From latest MCV issue

European numbers from data specialist IHS (and backed up by GFK Europe) from January to September
PS4 - 3,440,000
Xbox One - 1,078,000

GFK Europe - sales for first 46 Weeks of the year (untile November 15th) across UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy
PS4 - 2,550,000
Xbox One - 1,058,000

In the first set of numbers, VGC has the One at 873k in the same time frame, or about 200k under tracked.

In the second set of numbers, Using just UK, France, and Germany, VGC has the One at 921k at that time. Spain only has about 50k LTD total sales for the One, and I doubt Italy has that much more, so there is some under tracking going on in Europe, at the least 300k as of November 15th.

11 million is basically guaranteed by the end of the year.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

That's a pretty terrible deal really. You can get a preowned 360 for about the price of one new game, so why would you pay so much more for a new one?

A lot of people dont like buying preowned

Never played any Dino crisis, but I'm surprised to see it coming to Xbox... Not ps exclusive. But I'm not interested :p, good for the ones who enjoy it tho.

Those European sales must be wrong, I was told XBO was death in Europe.

I'd expect most people would prefer preowned to paying 2 or 3 times as much for a new one though...

They really need to drop that price down soon!

Well you got to think of it this way.  Preowned is always cheaper and always available yet there is about 170m PS360's sold.  Im one of the people who wont buy used and i know of other people who wont either.

But yeah PS360 needs to drop in price but theyre profitable and people are still buying them
