Any ideas of how I could get it to work?? Also I wanna buy a Xbox One next year, are all games region free? My bro lives in the states but im not sure where I wanna buy the console yet. Need to know if it matters... |
Yes all physical X1 games are region free. I'm not sure about digital games though. They should be region free as well but I remember reading reports of people saying they bough games digitally from US region (even though they don't live in America) and the games didn't work.

Ok thx!
I think the digital games should be fine my xbox account is a US account since I made it when I was living there. All my digital Xbox 360 games work after I redownloaded them, unless things have changed.
Was asking about the region stuff because I am still debating wheather I should get my Xbox One from the US or South Africa, either way my games will come from the US since my bro can buy for me. The Xbox is too expensive in my country.

Yeah, there shouldn't be a problem with digital games either. I read this article posted almsot a year ago that said there were problems with region locked content but maybe Microsoft have changed it now.

Yeah you shouldn't have any problem ordering from the US and the best Xbox deals are in the States, although I think there would be a voltage difference between the US and South Africa so you'd have to buy a 110-240V universal power supply or use a transformer. They aren't that expensive though.
