Another Milestone is that 360 has sold 80 million consoles so far.

Awesome, but didn't that happen 2 months ago ;) :

That is likely shipped numbers.

Anyways, id post the 80m figure if i could find it on VGC lol

Oops, silly me! I thought those numbers annouced in October were sold to customers.

Great achievement! Will the 360 be able to make it to 90 million?

Tbh I just want to see what Black Tusk Studios are making, Would like them to buy Remedy but atm I'm not really that concerned since they own the IP for Quantum Break, Maybe if Quantum Break sells allot they may buy the whole studio and make Alan Wake 2

Double Helix would be nice especially since it appears like they are making a Sci-Fi game looking like Mass Effect which would be nice for Microsoft to have a game like that again, More Sci-Fi Space games the better IMO :P Hope they start focusing more on Rare and their old Ip's this gen now though, They could have so many exclusives just from Rare

Oh i got some stuff for you then xD  Others in this thread are prob sick of me posting about Rare but I love them, new and old.  Viva Pinata, Avatars, and Kameo anyone? xD (Boo Kinect Sports though -_-)

Job Listing for Rare Ltd in 2012

“Whilst continual development of their core releases will maintained, the successful candidate will be joining at a time when the studio is looking to move into new areas and develop new IPs for future platforms. You will have a successful history of releasing exceptional AAA games and these will ideally be in the Action/Adventure or FPS genre but this is not essential,”

Rare is currently looking for a software engineer to work on “multiple AAA future console releases,” and while that includes family friendly titles like Kinect Sports, the listing also says that Rare is looking to return to the adventures and shooters that made them a household name ten years ago.

More Rare Ltd Information for you then xD

“When we launched Kinect obviously there was a big focus on ‘everything must be Kinect. Now it’s in the box, use it where it make sense, don’t where it doesn’t. It can be used in some really – not gimmicky ways, which is what I think you’ll see a fair amount of – but ways that actually really enhance the game. We’ve got some ideas for how to use it in the right way.”

Which might even be in a new Perfect Dark “Maybe! We’ve got an idea for that. It would be controller plus Kinect. We’ve got ideas for most older Rare IP, you won’t be surprised to hear. There’s quite a lot of desire to do that, and Viva Pinata, Conker… Banjo’s very popular internally, a lot of people want to do stuff with Banjo

And most importantly there is this where Rare Ltd hints at a new Ip

Character 1 - Jumpman
Character 2 -Battletoad
Character 3 -Fulgore
Character 4 - Banjo
Character 5 - Kameo
Character 6 - Viva Pinata
Character 7 - Avatars
Character 8 - ???

Maybe.  They havent even cut the price of X360 yet so it could very well do it once they do cut it down.  They are just profiting off of it atm.

I'm a firm believer that 360 can still get to 100 million.

They actually said they have ideas and want to do Conker, Banjo & Viva Pinata? Damn, Thats made me so happy lol I would love a new Conker, Viva Pinata, Kamoe and Banjo the most, Never played Pefect Dark but I hear it's good so more the better, New Ip would be awesome aswell, Damn Microsoft really just need to give them permission to do that games now right? Viva Pinata on Xbox One, O.O Garden size could be huge finally and Conker would be amazing

Well since theyre confirmed to be working on multiple first party games and even hired people for shooters and adventures they certainly do have the permission :)

Yeah I loved Viva Pinata.  It isnt popular among forums but that is one of the most addicting games ive played.  Having a huge garden would really help with it. Im not really sure what it is about that game but i wanted all the pinatas like i was playing pokemon or something.

That is the thing about Rare.  I think them and Nintendo are the only two developers that i can think of that can consistently make good charming characters.

Perfect Dark is good.  Partially because it was one of the first great FPS games.  Perfect Dark Zero is pretty decent for X360 but it wasnt amazing.  Id give it an 8 for the time it cam out, but a 7 for today's standards.

VGChartz tracks sold to consumer.

Does indeed, it hasn't taken 2 months which includes half the holiday season and Black Friday to sell through that stock though.

I'm pretty sure it's halo 5.
didn't they release another version of the halo xbox one trailer, only difference was the end where it showed a 'halo 5' logo instead of 'halo xbox one?'

It wasnt MSFT who released that but someone else.

Yo_John117 you must be making a fortune off of your Drivatar on forza from me. You appear in a lot of my races and usually do pretty good.

Microsoft just posted Max: The Curse of Brotherhood Trailer on their Channel.  Looks like they're gearing up to announce the release date.  This will be Replay's First title being a 1st party developer for Microsoft on the Xbox Platform

This game looks alot like the most recent game in the Giana Sisters franchise, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams. Not only are they both side-scrolling platformers, but the plot is similar, both involve a sibling trying to rescue another sibling. I didn't even know what Giana Sisters was until today, when my favorite Youtube Jesse Cox played it to promote gog.com winter video game sale:
