So its confirmed, ROTTR is a timed Xbox exclusive to have an answer to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

Not that it will be, in terms of sales, but it will probably push some consoles.

I dont think anything is confirmed.  He has talked about it being similar to Dead Rising 3 and Ryse by this point which implies Xbox then PC.  It could end up on PS as well but i dont think that is up to MSFT.  It sounds like SE went to MSFT so it became less of a risk to release the game, so it could depend on if SE wants to releas it and publish it themselves with their own risk to PS after the deal is up.    That would be my guess anyways

"For us, as we've been working together on this, it's a nice franchise for us in terms of the genre and how it fits into our first-party portfolio. Do I wish I had an owned IP first-party action adventure game? Absolutely. But I don't right now."

Well Phil you got some studios diddly waddling there and you should've put them to work on this great concept that's been taken by Wild Studios.

This could at least been a great Arcade game.

I wasn't saying anything about this game coming to PS4/PC or not, you didn't get it there. I was saying that MS decided to fund the game so as to have an answer to UC 4: ATE in holidays 2015. They probably were looking for it for a long time now, and once they saw last year's TR reboot being such a hit sales wise, and being very similar to UC, but still failing to meet Sqaure's expectations, they decided to grab the oppurtunity to have some of the UC and TR crowd on the X1.

ohhhh i see, my bad xD  Yeah i definitely read that wrong then haha

Yeah i would most certainly say this is something they want to respond to Uncharted with.  Uncharted is an amazing game and microsoft really doent havfe a game like it in terms of the cinematic experience with similar gameplay mechanics.  I think they need to make their own franchise to cunter it but for now Tomb Raider def fits into their portfolio.  So instead of just Halo 5 next holiday they will have Halo 5 and Tomb Raider.  Itll be like you can have Uncharted on PS4 or Halo 5 on XBO plus a game similar to Uncharted

Knowing Xbox division, they will probably influence Crystal Dynamics to put a lot of emphasis on MP.
That being said, Xbox titles with MP tend to be pretty solid in the gameplay department. Couple that with some cutting edge graphics, we'll have a winner there.

Winner compared to...?

If you mean system seller, yeah sure. But that wouldn't be for the MP. Although a good multiplayer component will help it long-term.

That is true.  Microsoft seems to lean towards a multiplayer focused experience.  I didnt try Tomb Raider 2013's MP but i was not a big fan of UNcharted MP.  When it comes to TPS games, Gears of War has the MP experience that is most desired.  THough i dont think that can be replicated by Tomb Raider
