Ah yes, I remember that now. I think that's the lamest one.

XBO Nation is by far the lamest. PlayStation Nation rhythms and NintenDomination is a play on words, while XBO Nation is just boring. Should be XBOX Crib or something gangster.

I think they are all meh tbh with Nintendo still being the weakest. Playstation Nation is some basic rhyme that I'd expect to hear in early 80's hip-hop, the WiiU ain't dominating shit and yeah, Xbox Nation was like they didn't even try.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

It will be interesting to see how this 1.2 million worldwide sales figure compares to the first week world wide sales for the PS4. This is a huge improvement on XBox 360, PS3 and Wii U launch sales figures. XBox One may surprise us all and end up selling more than the XBox 360 sales figure of 80+ million sales.

The thing is that you can't directly compare the PS4's first week sales numbers to the Xbox One's first week sales numbers because Sony split their launch while Microsoft launched all at once. That means that Sony had an extra 2 weeks to manufacture PS4's before their European launch. Launch sales are more about supply than demand, imo if Microsoft had 2 million units ready at launch and actually shipped them all out, they would have sold almost all of them, assuming they appropriated their supply between the 13 launch countries properly. A much more fair comparison will be the Xbox One's first 3 weeks against the PS4's first 3 weeks.

That being said, I agree with you that Xbox One's 1.178 million first week is quite impressive. It's exactly equal to the 360's first November+December sales (1.178m), isn't far behind the PS3's first November+December (1.253m), and is ahead of the Wii's first November sales (1.068m). It's also ahead of the Wii U's first 2 weeks (810k) and not far behind the Wii U's first 3 weeks (1.37m).

I think the Xbox One will top the 360's sales, if only because gaming gets more and more popular with each console generation (4th gen- 98m, 5th gen- 146m, 6th gen- 204m, 7th gen- 260m). The question is, can the Xbox One maintain the 360's marketshare (30%)?

well looking at how WiiU is doing (unfortunatelly) I would even say that they will go over 30% this gen...
I don't think PS4 will lead end of gen more thna the XB360 is leading the PS3 end of gen.... it will even be tighter than PS3/360 gap was  on average I'm pretty sure...

Personally, I'm expecting final global marketshare to have the Xbox One and PS4 fairly close to one another, with the Wii U not too far behind. Something like 37% PS4, 35% Xbox One, and 28% Wii U.

yeah pretty much what I think too... depending on what development happens with each console XB could take the lead end of gen.... if they cut the price faster and get a Wii effect down the line with Kinect games and expand with their media offering with exclusive content... the rumor of MS reviving old TV shows or producing their own could grab some people that don't have a console yet in a couple years.... I Think that face off will be really exciting

and I think us, customers, might be beneficiating a lot from that close combat between the two company....

To answer your poll question about what Rare's working on next. I'm pretty sure they've already suggested that they are working on reviving one of their older IP's, so I doubt that it'll be a new IP. I could see it going one of two ways, they could make a new Perfect Dark since shooters have always been more popular on Xbox, or they could make a new platformer (either Banjo Kazooie or Conkers) to go along with Microsoft's attempt at diversifying the Xbox's 1st party lineup.

it's funny to me it looked like they meant "they wish" to revive old IPs or are "looking into it" not that they are currently doing so.... hence why I think it is a new IP for the third project.... I think once KSR is out the gate they will start working on old IP....

well that's how I interpreted it anyway... funny how things can be completely perceived differently from one persone to another

they are not die hard then.... I'd get a WiiU before I get a PS4 if MS stoped doing consoles all together..... I will never forgive Sony for taking part in the Sega downfall as a console maker (yeah I know they are not the only factor).... I have absolutely 0 Sony branded device in my house and will never again support that company since March 30, 2001... I know its stupid but its my way of copping :D

Did I miss something, guys? I've been pretty absent the past two days.

Sony didn't screw SEGA, SEGA screw SEGA. :P
