Good idea is to whack it on a savings card so you can't spend it, and sell some stuff you don't use/want!

Be greatful you're not getting ripped off, it's £430 here!

There's some minor discomfort but it's not bad. Takes a little over an hour per donation where they stick you with a needle,  and repeatedly draw out a quart of blood and run it through a centrifuge to get the plasma out, and then pump that blood back into your body (it sounds worse than it really is).

You don't get much money but it's nice in a pinch. You can donate a maximum of twice a week and the place that I go to gives $20 the first donation of the week and $40 for the second.
