^yeap and considering that's just an update and a .1 I see great bright things for their future... You forgot to say windows 8.1 update 1 and WP8.1 license will be free for device from 0" to 9" this is big for OEMs and mobile customers... Win IoT will be free too I believe and WinJS goes open source...
they just killed it and the best about it was they did with 0 major release just updates and continuation of an idea...

for the region lock to me it's a BS rumor... Or it is hardware based and not IP based... Cause I buy all my stuff on the US store and I'm in Europe and have 0 problem... But I do have a US console...

yeah the 930 could have a 810 but for what purpose beside spec showdown... WP8.1 outperforms any other OS at matching spec so why pay more for a hardware that can be run just as smooth with WP8.1 than android on a 810...

I just started to read your articles. I think you're on the road to a good start but in this article there are some things I'm not sure of their relevance. First is how you talk about 343 Industry's Halo 4 taking the franchise to a downhill... the game is on it's way to be the second's most sold Halo and the story telling in this one far surpases the others. Sure it tried get closer to COD but it still played like Halo. Imo it's a well recieved follow up to the franchise and fans don't seem to show any fatigue towards the game.

Is Titanfall really closing in 2 millions? If so then great, just point out your source.

It would be nice if you talk about other routes the fps genre can take, for example games with an emphasis on artstyle like Bioshock. Maybe talk a little more about new peripherals that could enhance the genre (maybe more as a closing question) like will VR and AR will be the next step in fps?

I may have misinterpreted some of the writings since english isn't my primary language so I sorry if I have.

Halo is going downhill means when compared to previous Halo sales are less though they maybe more but you should compare it in a different way Halo reach sold nearly equal no's of halo 4 on a small install base which directly indicates fans were not happy with Halo 4. I really enjoyed Halo 4 but the ranking system was worst I think after achieving 130 rank( which was easy ) their was nothing to progress except mastering certain type of weapons. I have no problems with loadouts but a balance between Classic and Modern Multiplayer should be done where we have an option for loadouts based multiplayer or non loadouts based.Story telling yes it was best in Halo 4 and franchise is slowing you can see how low the population is currently and many top players have left Halo. By the way Halo 4 could have sold more if Xbox One would not launch. Titanfall sales are nearly 2 million means more than 1.5m and less than 2m to clarify. Titanfall is 1.3m from vgc numbers if we add digital no's and sale no's not included in vgc dates we would roughly get 1.7-1.8m We also don't know how good is vgc tracking Titanfall bundle. Titanfall vgc=1.3m Digital=350-400k( i think) Data not available-maybe 70-100k

Regarding things games can do in fps is I think I should have included I might do another artcile on this in near future. Thanks for this suggestion.
