Thats a bit of an unfair comparison dont you think? The nokia lumia 920 is much more recent than the GS2. Back then android was still trying to catch up to ios and windows phone was non existant (figuratively).

You sir, Shinbo-san are very much correct about unfair comparison part. I just meant that as a general statement for myself as a light user of few of the many features that are found in Smartphones of today. Infact even a low end phone like 500-600 level Lumia would be able to more tha meet my requirements of calling people over the age of 30 and texting everyone under it, whatsapp, taking pictures, reading rss news by feedly and trying to surf Vgchartz well on a phone but failing.

You are right about researching also as people have different priorities and needs when it comes to devices. Someone who really likes lot of mobile gaming and hundreds of other apps that launch every month will want to avoid Windows Phone. Sort of like Windows Phone is the Wii U when it comes to third party apps showing up in parity compared to other two or at all.
