If Quantum Break succeeds it will be a pivotal point in the game development at Xbox, specially at LA Studios.
Coping game development with live action is a very enticing project and it got me curious to experience it.
To me a great game has little to do with CG cinematic. I never got into MGS, Uncharted and TLOU because of little focus on gameplay compared to other blockbusters. If I want a great story mostly I'll read a book (Prayers for the Assassins), great CG animation I'll watch CG movies (Appleseed, Vexille).
Big games on Xbox on the other hand usually set bars for gameplay/ max interactiveness. For example, Halo held the FPS vanguard for a while, Gears innovated the cover shooting mechanic, State of Decay brought zombie games out of the apathy with some action/rpg elements, Shadow Complex side scroll shooter etc...
