Come on guys.
You talk about action rpgs, and I ask you to name some good arpgs, and no one answers.

Kingdom Hearts (the first is better than the second no matter what anyone says)

Muramasa, Odin Sphere, The World Ends with you, Ys serie, Bastion, Hack// serie, God Eater

Sorry about that, didn't see your post. Dark Souls and Damon's Souls. Not only good action RPGs, but among the best games created imo.

I wouldn't mind a dragon age type system, but full action rpgs do lose some of their strategic value.

It's not exactly about about the turn-based per se in my opinion, but, in fact, it's about changing the core gameplay of a series. I mean, FF XV just looks like a Kingdom Hearts/Dissidia game. FF XII, for example, while changing the gameplay of the FF series, was still a turn-based game in the end. FF XV looks like an action game, which is the direction SE has been pushing the series since FF VII, but the truth is that most people would prefer a new series being created with that kind of gameplay instead of changing a series known for it's turn-based gameplay approach.

Gives more challenge, often requires more thinking of the future and present rather then just the present. It is just my preference though I know a lot of people would prefer WoW to have more of a skyrim like battle style. But with a skyrim battle style it would just all be the same and no skill involved in kills like you have in WoW.

Back to FF I preferred FFX, FFVIII, FFXII style as to FFXIII. FFXIII had to use the worst of all styles. Now FFXV is using a KH style which is still fun and will probably be satisfying but I find it to easy.
