BTW old news, but adds to the picture.

UK and Sweden block EU talks on investigation of alleged NSA spying.

even neutral sweden is kissing americas ass? i knew UK is just a willing minion(though some claim the usa are the minion of the city of london") but sweden is a surprise.Maybe all european countries became pawns when they accepted the marshall plan.

@ Bolded He's brought attention to not only the topic of survellience, the disregard for rule of law, and individual property rights, but also has exposed the U.S government for what it is -- a hypocritical entity -- with no excellence in individual rights as it claims to be. That is enough to push things back up the slope that we've fell down since 9/11.

But that's not news. Many people have assumed that they've been doing this to EVERYONE, not just some, ever since bullshit like "The Patriot Act" was put in place. This is years old, not new at all. Did he "confirm" it? Sure. But as I said, what has he actually accomplished while destroying his life?

As far as I recall, people who said the government was doing this to everyone where considered "tin foil hat" wearers. He has released more than a comfirmation though, he's released detailed information on who is involved.

Funny :D fast forward to Psaki's speech.

More funny stuff.

‘Heroic effort at great personal cost’: Edward Snowden nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
http://rt.com/news/snowden-nominated-nobel-peace-099/

Given that practically all Nobel Peace Prize nominations were thinly veiled signs of official approval from 'you know who' based on strictly political considerations, I doubt he will ever get it like many others nominated previously.

I hope he gets to South America. Fuck the NSA! What they do is just wrong.

And even more funny stuff. But enough with RT, let's listen to the other side, shall we?

Obama's Reset Collapses
http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/07/reset_collapses.html

Absolutely f*cking brilliant piece of writing :D It starts with Snowden, but does not miss a single chance for a cheap shot on whatever matter that has nothing to do with Snowden -- wide array of things from Berezovsky to 'ushankas' in relatively short text. Among those RT gets its fair share of *ahem* criticism, that lying "state-sponsored propaganda" (I always wondered  why government-owned BBC never received this kind of criticism? not that rest of MSM are trust-worthy). Basically an argument 'ad hominem' in political speech, which is the main argument among anti-Snowden crowd now. Good, old fashioned russophobe that Kim lady.

On a side note. My initial hypothesis that Snowden is a mere provocateur, after he was supposed to fly to Ecuador but never did, is getting more weight in my eyes looking at Putin's reaction or...sometimes banana is simply a banana.

Doesn't anyone find it ironic Snowden is applying to places that are even more corrupted then the US in government and policies?

Also, like many fighting for change in the past, they were willing to face the consequences for their actions......this guy just leaves the country. Makes him less of a martyr IMO

What's ironic is that people still don't understand what a hegemonic power the United States is. Snowden has nowhere else to go because of how much power the US wields over the "free" world. The only people willing to shelter him are countries with their own Stasi programs who can use Snowden as a shield to justify them. "Shut down your own Stasi before you criticize ours."

Why does Snowden need to be a martyr? Are the principles he stood up for only worth as much as his suffering? Bin Laden suffered a lot for his principles, did that make his cause more righteous?

@sales2099
See my post from four days ago and a post just above that.

@famousringo
Snowden is "a suitcase without a handle" so to speak, on what basis you're suggesting he's worth a trouble for other secret services in thw world?

P.S. This's supposed to be his application:

Snowden has left airport transit zone, in other words he's officially in Russia now. And could stay here until 31.07.2015.
