I love trophies, they are a lot of fun, and, when the game is really good, they are a nice bonus for the replays.

Should Nintendo have them? MS did it, Sony too, most of people like them in some degree or another.

In an ideal world, I'd say yes they should add trophies to their games but right now, I'd rather they focused on making games.

Only if they significantly enhance gameplay and value for the customer.

What Nintendo has going now in terms of "achievements" is perfect. They don't have a universal achievement system so games that don't need it don't need to have it, nor feel pressure to. But, Nintendo has recently been adding in certain "Badge" systems into their games. Animal Crossing: NL and Pokemon B2/W2 for example.

As of now, that is enough.

I'd say yes. I don't hunt after them, but I like having a score and trophies to track my progress. Of course they should give it an alternative name.
