Forums - Microsoft - Nomura shows interest in using Kinect’s voice recognition for Kingdom Hearts III

Gaming Everything

Maybe – just maybe – Kingdom Hearts III will support Kinect. Tetsuya Nomura certainly seems interested in some of the device’s features, at least.

In a new interview, Nomura showed excitement when it comes to the possibility of incorporating voice recognition. He feels that being able to control Donald and Goofy through the sound of your voice could be “nice”.

He said:

“We would like to incorporate these features in Kingdom Hearts III. The one that we find most interesting is the voice recognition. I think it would be great to be able to control Donald and Goofy through voice command to tell them what to do. Wouldn’t that be nice? (Laughs).”

I always thought voice commands were very silly.

I dont like talking to computers, because half the time it doesnt even recognize what im saying and it can get frustrating.

Why does Nomura always have to be so "adventurous"? He's like a kid in a candy store full of bad ideas, sometimes.

Kinect has very good voice controls. It should be even better with kinect 2.0 . Voice controls ahve come a long way if you haven't tried them recently
