Forums - Sony - Sony's DualShock 4 light bar can't be turned off to save battery

ofcourse not, why? cause this is not a problem and people dont have a reason to complain.

Please take a break from being so adorably defensive, go have a Coke and a smile, and then look up the definition of complain. I didn't even complain. I will complain though, if the light from the controller is bright. And no, I won't be duct taping my controller to make it look ghetto fabulous, pass on that.

That might get pretty annoying playing in a darkened room.

No different to PS move really. Also, not like they can't patch in the option later. But whatever

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

I hope it won't reflect on my kickass tv screen when I'm playing at 3am in a dark room.
And i want to be able to choose my own light, like yellow. I hate blue.

PS4 controller can be charged like the PS3 one right? If that's the case then battery isn't much of an issue, at least it wasn't for me.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It can even be charged when the console is off IIRC.

Meh....I have already pre-ordered and paid for my PS eye along with my PS4, and for the people who are not buying the PS eye..........its only a few LED lights and it will have little 2 no effect on power consumption.

I don't see how this isn't considered an annoyance because it blatantly will be. You guys do know its ok to admit the tiniest negative don't you. Its really not a deal breaker though and they could probably change it in a later revision if people do complain.

By the way, to the query regarding playing in the dark, I game on a projector and my room is always blacked out but I don't consider this a problem giving the light bleed I get from my screen anyway.

and why will it "blatantly" be an annoyance?

You can't turn it off? What if there is a glare?
Geez, immersion ruined!

Sony trying to turn people blind with this constant light on your fingers what if you rub your eyes, boom your blind, screw you Sony!!!!

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
