this obviously wont include hybrids...

The acer hybrids share the name with  "iconia" and asus one have the "transformer" names.. So I think they are included and are a non factor now.. lets be honest right now hybrids arent doing anything.. In a few years certaintly but right now not..

what tablet market ????
it's still an emerging market.... one I have absolutely no faith in in the long run.... why would anybody keep buying those cheap toys once light weight cheap power house haswell hybrids with full range of legacy apps will be flooding the market....????

having 80% of a market that is a fraction of the computing market is nothing to brag about..... it's like winning a spelling bee contest in the mute category (no offence to the mute)

hybrids is the future of computers.... and MS has the best OS out for that market....

Good shipment numbers only about 10% down YoY this time. Profit as always for MS.

Good overal numbers but we can now certainly say that Surface flopped with the writedown on unsold inventory.. which is too bad cause the tablet market could use more competition

Microsoft sure know how to run a successful business. Very impressive.

MSFT shares down almost 10%

78.2m shipped

vs

77.8 sold

Yeah... overtracked or only 400k on shelves.

Didn't expect you to make that sort of mistake ethomaz, remember this is end of June. So 77.45m, 750k on shelves.

No, he seems to be right

Where do you see the 77.45m figure?

Oh yeah, my mistake, I for some reason looked at June 1st figures.

400k on shelves is probably a little low even if weekly sell through is around 70k.
