Halo easily is better imo.. Then again I can't play a FPS with calm music lol

Good music, it really evokes a sense of wonder, curiosity, and exploration. Very different from Halo, which is good. Not because I don't like Halo music (I probably like it better than this), but because I want Destiny to have it's own distinct feel.

Martin O'Donnel. As i said, great song, still Halo shouldnt be in the title. I listened to it and I answered it. It was good, not as good as halo "so far". it fits Destiny's universe beautifully as well i might add.

Agreed. I like the updated one in Battlefield 3 a little more though.

I said "any Halo song". Because, like I said, this Destiny song isn't intended as the theme song so it's unfair to compare it's "memorability" (memorableness? Lol, is that even a word?) to Halo's theme song. I don't know why you keep mentioning views, covers, and the like. I'm asking if Destiny is on par or not with some of Halo's songs that are not the theme song. I really only remember the theme song in my head, but then again I don't play a lot of Halo. I don't play a lot of Destiny either, and neither do you |
My point is comparing them is strange when you are comparing it to some of the most memorable gaming music of all time. So your question can be asked the same.
I mentioned that because people loved Halo's music and it shows. Im sure people will love Destiny's music as well and this is a great start. but i wouldnt compare it to anything until the full release of the game and the full soundtrack either.

Damn, you really seem to like arguing for the sake of arguing.
There is absolutely nothing odd about asking how O'Donnel's old work compares to this new piece.

For the record it didnt start out as an argument :P It started out as my opinion and then lead to an argument.

Wut. Why can't I compare them only because Halo music is great? That doesn't make sense to me. @Your other post: Well, your opinion that Halo shouldn't be in the title was something you could expect would be challenged. That came out of nowhere and I still don't see why it can't be there. Simply having Halo in the title could also drag in some Halo fans that are not very familiar with Destiny yet. It's a way to engage a bigger part of the community and adding some personality to a thread with only one musical track |
I already mentioned multiple times that i thought the song was great. Destiny is also one of my most anticipated games simply because it is from Bungie. Day 1 buy for me. And the reason i said that is because as i mentioned Halo is memorable. This can not do that until the game is actually out
And the 2nd response is exactly what i thought ;P Not that it is a bad thing. in all honesty i do similar things with my threads so i understand ;)
EDIT: I also want to point out they have more songs from destiny. This one is really good as well. better than the one in the OP imo too.
