JRPG 4ever!

JRPG have more soul.

WRPG are fun for about 4 hours then becomes boring.

I like them both, but wrpg's have certainly been much stronger in recent years. The only really good jrpgs of the last gen would be xenoblade, last story, and lost odyssey ( and valkyria chronicles if you consider that and rpg. )

JRPG's for the simple fact that most WRPG's have way to much stuff to do that it overwhelms me. I like when a game is linear because then I don't feel like I'm missing out things.

Yep same, one of the reasons I don't like WRPGs is because u must answer over one hundred questions before u reach the end & depending what answers u choose in all these questions the end change, so I prefer a game with 1 or 3 max different endings than a game with 20-30 or more different endings, I wont replay the game so many times anyway what's the point to create so many endings it's stupid & no1 is going to see them all.

WRPGs.

JRPGs tend to be dragged down by too much cringe-worthy silliness and cliche; giggly/ditzy female characters, annoying emo wusses, mascot characters with voices that make you want to beat them to death with a sledgehammer, preachy I-will-create-a-new-world-to-replace-this-corrupt-one villains, etc.

JRPG usually have illogical stories and characters. Though, they also have more exciting worlds  a lot of the time.

Story: WRPG
Characters: WRPG
Combat: JRPG
World: JRPG
Role playing: WRPG

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

RPGs are all about story.

JRPGs destroy in that department. There are only a few (KOTORs) WRPGs that I would say have amazing stories.

WRPG is usually about the world and mythos, where the player builds a character that enters an already expansive world.

JRPG is usually about the story, where the player follows the advnetures of a character and see the world and mythos expand through his/her eyes, as the character develops along the way.

Personally, I like JRPGs more. I just feel they have more soul from their inwards-out perspective than WRPGs that have an Outwards-in style.

JRPG.. though I actually hate the Minigames.. to me that is what destroyed Final Fantasy... (Well maybe not so much that.. but the fact that you basically *Had* to do them... not you had a choice to do them or not) The thing about WRPG.. is the fact that most are very seldom any better than a first person shooter or a First Person Action RPG... and frankly.. I just don't care for that at all... (Though I will say this.. I do love Never Winter Nights Series on my PC... along with some other D&D RPG's but other than that.. forget WRPG)

Nintendo Wii by generations...

1. Wii

2. Wii U

3. Wii O U

Predictions made by gamers concerning the current Nintendo line up of games.

Pikmen 3= Little Bump to nothing. (Got Little Bump)

Wind Waker HD= Won't sell anything (The explosion happened here and at one time 4 Wii U games was in the Amazon top 100)

Super Mario 3D World= Won't help at all looks cheap. (Currently the most sought after Wii U game and continuing the Wii U increase.)

JRPGs... The combat in most WRPG is patetic (Skyrim, I am talking about you).
