I was browsing various places awhile a back and some people were praising it as the second coming of Jesus or something. The console that shall pierce the market and beat out the big 3. Now fast forward a couple years and everyone is trashing on it. I mean seriously, what were the expectations for this thing? The first time I saw it, I thought nothing much of it. It's just seemed like a crappy console to play mobile games on your tv and maybe for some emulation. Nothing ground breaking

I think you're confusing it with the PS4... I don't remember any Ouya praise.

It was a while back on some other places, not sure about this one. Everyone was hyping it up like there was no tomorrow.

but its just a waste of space and effort, when i first saw it i knew it wasnt going to do anything special and i knew it would flop hard. and guess what, it did

I don't know about the rest of the gaming community, but I had as much hope for Ouya as I did for the Wii U a month before E3. AKA, nothing. Dark Hole. Zip. Nada. Niet.

The only hype it got may have come from the fact it was publicly finded by kickstarter. Everyone loves a good David vs Goliath story...

Otherwise people got exactly what was promissed. Some of those games are pretty fun too.

I personally am happy we are seeing so many forms of hardware again designed for gamers. Razer Edge Tablet, Razer Blade laptop, Ouya, Nvidia Shield, Moga Pro controller for Android and Windows Pohone...

There were actually people who were expecting something from the Ouya, so yes.

didnt the thing flop hard? also, we will see on the long run how this performs. 

oh, I meant the kickstart goal before release. The crowd funding exceeded there goal. How it does afterwards is still yet to be seen.
