How are emulators on Android? Do you need a particularly powerful phone? I just started downloading them tonight, but I don't think I'll be able to run anything over GBA.

Android tablets. I don't think any android phone besides the Galaxy S4 could run 3D games particulary well. The 2D games, though...

My android phone plays 3D games like Mega Man 64 fine.

But n64-emulation is easier than psp-emulation.

N64 emulation isn't as taxing as PSP emulation, though.

Maybe I should give Chinatown Wars another chance, since I have it but didn't play it much. How would I even play my legitimate copy with this emulator? I only have it on UMD.

How do I legally obtain ISO's of my games?

To legally turn your PSP games into .ISO files, you need to install "Custom Firmware" (don't ask for instructions in this thread) on your PSP. Google for that. Then follow these steps:

  • Insert the UMD into your PSP.
  • Connect your PSP to your PC with a USB cable.
  • At the PSP menu, press Select. In the menu that pops up (only on Custom Firmware), choose to UMD as USB Device.
  • Still in the PSP menu, choose USB Connection in the Settings menu (to the left).
  • On your PC, a folder will pop up, containing a virtual ISO file. To copy the game to your PC, simply drag this to somewhere on your harddrive and the copy will start. Done!

Ghost of Sparta runs very well (constant 60 FPS) and also looks very good. There is a weird half-transparent box over about 1/8th of the screen though, that vaguely shows the same thing as the whole screen but smaller. Hard to describe lulz. Don't know if I can fiddle with the settings to make it go away. It's not that noticeable, thankfully.

Ahaha, sounds strange.

Using the save state function didn't work for me in Ghost of Sparta. When I try to load the emulator crashes.

Hm, how did you access it? If I quicksave via F2 and then quickload via F4 the game crashes for me. But if I toggle

this menu (for me by klicking L3) and use the savestates here it works. It's strange...

I go through the menu. S1 and L1. Happens in both GoW and KH: BBB

I hope they'll fix this in the next big release. I wouldn't ever have beaten the Organization XIII data in KH2 without savestates...

pezus have you tried this on Nexus 7? I have the emulator, but never can find the games I want, meaning Valykeria Chronicles 2 and 3. Or are you all using PC?

Congrats!

Also did you guys change anything in your gfx settings or w/e?

Besides activating SSAA and increasing the resolution/texture scaling? Nope.

I've only tried Ghost of Sparta on the Nexus and it doesn't run well at all. I should try a less graphically intensive game. After a quick search I could find VC2 on a certain website

Which you won't mention in this thread. And better not post on his wall, too. Axum was very clear and very strict about promoting piracy. :P
