Does anybody know of a good game boy advance and nintendo 64 emulators for windows. Looking to play some old pokemon games and some nintendo 64 games that aren't on virtual console.

Sorry for not being on topic.

For GBA, Visual Boy Advance is the best. For N64, try Project 64.
Google will tell you where to find 'em and how to configure them (no worries, it's easy). VBA also works with GB/GBC games.

Happy reminiscing.

GBA - Visual Boy Advance

N64 - Project64

Thanks Xen and KHlover. Can't wait to play with them.

I already have this downloaded I doubt it works very well yet as DS emulators just barely work now. I tried a couple months back and it did not I will try again.

Playing with all settings on max - 60fps most of the time, some drops to around 40 during busier scenes (on Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, which already is a taxing game)

My PC:

8GB Ram

Core2Duo E8500 at 4GHz

Radeon HD4850 with 1GB Ram

Here are two Dissidia 012 [duodecim] screenshots, Tidus and Zidane character models, they look gorgeous!

Oh hell yes. It's always astonishing what wonders a simple bump in the internal rendering resolution and some AA can work *_*

EDIT: Will insert those into the OP.

inorite, I probably sound crazy for saying this, but they look as good as some PS3 character models... that's with 5x texture scaling and 3x render resolution, I'd go 4x but in windowed mode it doesn't fit on my screen (It goes above 1920x1080 lol), but in fullscreen it's absolutely incredible!

Runs at a solid 60FPS with NO drops too!

I can grab some more screenshots of other characters if you'd like :P

It definately surpasses PS2 models. I'd say it is between a PS2 and a PSVita models-wise, but thanks to the higher resolution and AA the games all just look stunningly clean^^

So I tested some of the games I have between the two versions (0.7.6 and 0.8.1) - to show you guys how much of an improvement has happened between the two versions (which were like 2 months apart at least)

Would like to note my PC specs include the following

-6 GB Ram
-HD Radeon 7850 2GB OC
-AMD Athlon  II X4 630 2.8 GHz~

Also note I only tested like the first couple of minutes of the gameplay - not the whole game on the emulator.

Final Fantasy Dissidia 012 Duodecim
0.7.6: 30 FPS, with no graphical issues - Text looks a bit broken at some points but not that big of a issue.
0.8.1: 60 FPS, with minor graphical issues such as in the FFIV lunar moon stage and same text issues but not that big of a issue.

Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions
0.7.6: 60 FPS at start up - after the "Squareenix" logo it drops to 18 FPS and is frozen in black screen.
0.8.1: 60 FPS throughout - audio crackles (only issues I see) - playing the PS1 ver looks better too cause the sprites are pixelated in the PSP ver.

Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection
0.7.6: 60 FPS - NO TEXT in Chats between characters and Battle Menu missing completely making the game impossible to play lol
0.8.1: Same issue as 0.7.6.
Note - Could be because I have the japanese version of the game since it had the english language option. The USA/EU versions may have the issue fixed - no idea though.

Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core
0.7.6: 30 FPS - visual/audio lag and crackling during CG cutscenes - 30 FPS normal visual and audio during actual gameplay and in game engine.
0.8.1: 60 FPS - Perfect in both CG Cutscenes and in gameplay/in game engine.

Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories
0.7.6: 30 FPS with black screen but audio still works ironically. Unplayable as you cant see what the hell is going on.
0.8.1: 60 FPS with NO ISSUES - works perfectly.

Jeanne D' Arc
0.7.6: 40 FPS with missing logo start - "Start" and "Continue" missing at the start. No Visual (Black Screen) with audio still working....lol
0.8.1: Same issues but it has 60 FPS instead of 40 ;___;
Note - T__T

Persona 1 Portable
0.7.6: 60 FPS - Intro Song and CG Cutscenes sound like Chipmunks and very laggy. Visual and Audio working perfectly for the most part - although black borders around some of the sprites of the characters.
0.8.1: 60 FPS - Only complaint is the black borders around some of the animations like sweating or around a character when appearing.

Persona 3 Portable
0.7.6: 100% - Perfect - 60 FPS
0.8.1: 100% - Perfect - 60 FPS
Note - Perfect game runs perfectly

Star Ocean First Departure
0.7.6: Doesnt work at ALL
0.8.1: StartUp Logo of SE is glitched out - 60 FPS - game runs good audio and visual wise....however the player sprite AND all NPC sprites are invisible lmao

Star Ocean Second Evolution
0.7.6: Startup says "SQUAREENIX" and after that no go.
0.8.1: StartUp Logo of SE is glitched out - 60 FPS - audio crackles at the intro song and screen - sounds horrible. Gameplay and In Game Engine sounds OK and plays well.

Tales of Eternia
0.7.6: Audio lags at the Intro Movie and with 30 FPS - 60 FPS in game engine and overall gameplay/audio.
0.8.1: Works Perfectly - 60 FPS

Tekken Dark Resurrection
0.7.6: 60 FPS in fights - 40-50 FPS during the intro - audio lags in intro and Intro is a black screen. A couple of graphical glitches (in the form of black spots) in the backgrounds.
0.8.1: Same as 0.7.6 except the intro now plays in 60 FPS and no audio lag but still black screen. All other issues the same.

Thanks for the report!
